A whole bunch of stuff~
I have scheduled my pharmacy tech certification test. Please to be praying for me ~_~
A girl that
kaitodoushi and I went to high school with lost her battle with esophageal cancer--she was the youngest case on record for her particular type of cancer. She died on November 29th. I wanted to go to the visitation, but I had to work, so I signed a card and sent it with my parents. We stood next to each other in choir our senior year, so we talked almost daily. RIP, Cathy. You were a nice person, and you didn't deserve this happening to you.
...right, onto more cheerful things.
Have the house to myself tomorrow night, whoo!
There's another Rifftrax event coming up on the sixteenth--I think it's supposed to be a bunch of shorts, as opposed to a full movie, but that will still be awesome. And I hear that Weird Al is going to be the musical guest :D :D :D So we're pretty stoked about it. BTW, Kat, hon? We need to buy our tickets--I'm going to go on the site and buy mine tomorrow, since tomorrow is payday, whoo!
Kat and I cruised up to the last show and saw them rip on the infamous Plan 9 from Outer Space. Which...I dunno, people say that it's the worst movie ever made, but A) I thought it was actually better than Manos: The Hands of Fate, and B) if the point of a movie is to be entertaining, then Plan 9 is actually one of the BEST movies of all time. But we had a great time, and laughed straight through it ("You stupid, stupid humans!"), so I'm looking forward to this one as well!
The best part is that we're taking the day off work to have some fun before we go up there. And how are we going to spend the morning/afternoon? Weeeeeeeell, I have discovered that I have exactly the right best friend. How do I know this? *cackles in a disturbingly gleeful manner*
Yesterday, I showed
kaitodoushi the first episode of Torchwood, along with two clips: the Stopwatch Scene (which I had to explain to her), and that one little Janto moment from the end of "End of Days" :D She told me after watching that she wanted to see more because she likes Ianto (for all of his two lines), and all the characters seemed interesting except for Gwen.
So then I drove her home, and she gets out of the car...and pauses. And starts talking. And the following exchange (more or less) took place in her driveway with the car door wide open.
K: I can't get it out of my head. Oh my god, I think I already ship it!
C: ...what?
K: Jack and Ianto!
C: YES!
K: I HATE YOU! *pretends to slam door*
She laugh-yelled at me all the way up her driveway to her front door, while I rolled down my window and wolf-whistled at her and did the best bouncing/dancing routine I could do while in the driver's seat of my car. Then I went home, and she proceeded to glare at me over MSN. Just wait until episode four, dearie. Juuuuuuust you wait :D :D :D
I so have the right best friend. I really do. ILU KITTY-KAT! *dodges thrown things*
