About the MKR fic woes: *sings* "It's your ficcy and you'll write what you want to!" When you want to, for that matter! Try thinking about it this way: they are not putting as much thought into what they're writing as you are. By saying "Update!" they're probably bored; by saying "You spell okay, but blah blabbity blah," they're saying they find something they don't like but are too lazy to balance thoughtful criticism with detailed strengths. Emphasis on lazy here.

And when it comes to lil' sis: being a lil' sis myself, I feel like a hypocrite, but she must be irritated over something and taking it out on you. No, there's no excuse for it. Yes, it's immature. But at least there's hope that she can overcome it in the future, like jewelsybear said. It sounds like you're genuinely trying to hang in there for your mom's sake and because you love your sis, which is awe-to-the-some . . . just keep trying! We'll still be here for as many future rants as it takes. ^^
