I'm actually looking at three new pieces for my middle schoolers--a slow, pretty piece that a bunch of the girls seemed really excited about when I showed it to them, a Celtic piece that I think they'll get into, and a Jersey Boys medley ^_~

*nod* I agree. I've sort of thought about doing something like that with my high schoolers for choir--I have to give a semester test, so I might give them an assignment sheet and say "Go home. Pick a favorite song. And write about it." But yes, art is important! THE ARTS are important, period! \o/ How boring would movies be without graphic design and background scores? *gg*
