Meme time!

First, because [livejournal.com profile] ran_mouri82 asked me so nicely...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

...well, I did make them myself ^__^ Also, let it be known that knitting with uber-fuzzy yarn is rather difficult >.>;;

And now, a meme...which I will probably regret doing, but oh well!

I'll do a drabble request only for the people who friended me! Just post a pairing (one I know!), genre, rating, and prompt.

...and let it be known that I reserve my right as the Almighty Authoress to take any Conan drabbles that might turn out uber-smurfy and somehow wrangle them into my challenge for [livejournal.com profile] fanfic100. Or any other theme comm I am doing. Because I am insane. And a theme comm whore. That is all.

It's up to you--you can change the prompt, or I can just attempt the first one *stares* Ummm...yeah. Up to you ^^;;

[identity profile] candy--chan.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
*laugh* I can make you a scarf--I'm knitting one for a lady I work with right now, 'cause she's been under a lot of stress lately, and she's really done a lot for me in the time I've worked there. What's your favorite color? :D

YAY!! I GETS A PRETTY PICTURE!! :D :D :D Your house eats things? My purse eats things...there's a black-hole in the bottom of it. Or a monster. Or the world's quietest garbage disposal. I'm not sure which >.>

[identity profile] ytak.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Heh. I'll make it simpler.

New prompt: "Let's call her 'Junior.'"

[identity profile] girlquinn.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
Red? I would ask for blue, but I already have a Ravenclaw scarf. And since I don't have red... thank you muchly!

[identity profile] candy--chan.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
Ummmm...I haven't had a plunnie for that fandom yet. Maybe give an Ouran one, and then a back-up for a fandom I'm a bit more familiar with? :D?

[identity profile] inquisitorial.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
nah...thats alright...

Pairing: Shinichi/Ran
Genre: Humor/Romance
Rating: whatever floats your boat
Prompt: "Why did I ever let you talk me into this?"

[identity profile] twosen.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
*waves* Remember me? =P

D'ya do the FMA fandom? *hopeful since all the Conan ones I wanted were already taken*

[identity profile] candy--chan.livejournal.com 2007-01-18 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
*waves* Hi!

Ummm...I'm only sort of in that fandom. You can request something if you want, but I have no faith whatsoever in my ability to write it well or in-character >.>

Two of a Kind

[identity profile] candy--chan.livejournal.com 2007-01-18 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
I think this takes the cake as the most awful thing I have ever written. I apologize, I truly do...for it is crack.

The two boys stared at each other with identical blue eyes—the smaller one, perhaps a decade younger than his older counterpart, adjusted his glasses and raised an eyebrow. “…what the hell are you doing here?”

“Because the author’s on crack,” the taller one (who we will call Shinichi) shrugged, shoving his hands casually into his pockets.

The younger one—henceforth known as Conan—shrugged in an echo of Shinichi’s movements. “So what’s this case all about?”

“Arson,” Shinichi pointed towards the smoking remains of what had once been a building. “I know we usually deal with murderers, but this case is extremely interesting.”

“How so?”

“Well, we’ve already got the arsonist,” Shinichi replied. “The perp was wearing a T-shirt for a show called Dragonball Z, and he was dragged away, screaming something about a dub.”

“…so why are we here then?” Conan asked.

“I have no idea,” Shinichi said.

Crickets chirped for a moment.

Finally, Shinichi spoke again. “So…you wanna make out?”

Conan raised an eyebrow. “Aren’t we the same person?”

“Do not underestimate my ego.”

“…fair enough.”

*sits patiently and waits for the firing squad*

O.O

*DIES*

Srsly, this was cracktastic. And might I add that, if the burned building happens to have anything to do with a FUN anime company, Conichi just got some retribution for being burned in a certain airing situation. ^________^

*giggle* Well, the prompt was FUNimation, so I thought the DBZ dub reference was good enough of an excuse for arson...at least to some fans, it is... *is a closet Conan dubbie, yesh*

Thanks, dear! :D

Wash cloths!! They're pretty! If only I wasn't so craftsy-challenged.

[identity profile] twosen.livejournal.com 2007-01-18 10:33 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm... In that case, how about...

Characters Any two from the choice of [Heiji Shinichi KID Conan]
Genre Crack.
Prompt *desperately tries to think of something random* Handcuffs?

Great crack! This really made me laugh. The DBZ dub reference was sublime.

TAKE THE DAMN FIC AND STOP POKING ME!! *luffles

“And you swear you checked the weather report before we left the house?” Heiji said, far too quietly. Quiet was worse than anger—quiet meant danger.

Kazuha fidgeted slightly and glared out of habit. “It said there was a twenty percent chance of rain. That meant there was an eighty percent chance that it wouldn’t rain. Get off my back.”

“Ahou…” he muttered, wrapping his jacket a bit more tightly around himself.

It was a camping trip gone awry, courtesy of Mother Nature and a huge rainstorm. And as a result, tempers were running short and tension was running high. Still, it seemed wiser to wait until the rain at least let up a bit before packing everything up and making a break for it.

Still, Heiji was starting to get snippy, and Kazuha had had enough. She clambered over him and crawled along towards the ground towards the tent flap.

“What’re you doing?” Heiji asked, watching her.

“I’m going outside,” she replied angrily before disappearing out into the rain.

It took about two-point-two seconds for Heiji to feel bad about snapping at her. Sighing, he crawled after her and stuck his head through the open flap. “Kazuha, come back inside. At least it’s…sort of dry in here.” There was one corner of the tent that was dripping water, but the rest of it was holding up fairly well under the weight of the rain.

To his surprise, she wasn’t really doing anything. She was just standing there, arms folded across her chest, head tilted backwards to look up at the sky. She was already soaked, the rain plastering her ponytail to the back of her nylon jacket. After a moment of this, she turned and gave Heiji an impish smile. “Hey, Heiji…”

He knew that smile…and he wasn’t sure if he liked that smile. “What?”

“I have an idea,” she sang. “Something I’ve always wanted to try…”

“And that would be what?”

Kazuha didn’t reply verbally. Instead, she simply stripped off her jacket and dropped it to the ground in front of the tent. Her gray T-shirt almost immediately turned a dark charcoal color as it was splattered with rain. He could hear her humming to herself as she reached up with one hand and pulled the ribbon from her wet ponytail, letting it fall loose.

“Kazuha, what are you…” Heiji trailed off into open-mouthed gaping as she casually peeled off the T-shirt (literally peeled it off—it was wet enough to stick to her skin) and tossed it aside as if it were nothing. The rain now fell on far too much bare flesh.

She ran her fingers through her wet hair and turned to look at him over her shoulder. “What?” she smiled mischievously. “Haven’t you ever wondered what it would be like to dance in the rain?”

Heiji swallowed hard, not quite sure what to think or say in response to that. Laughing lightly at his reaction (or lack thereof), Kazuha skipped over—and he noticed absently that she was barefoot—and reached down to grab his hand. “C’mon! You can play too!” she giggled, pulling him out of the tent and into the rain.

And before Heiji had time to process any of this, her arms were around his neck and her lips were pressing against his in a way that was all too familiar, and yet still so addictive…so wonderfully intoxicating.

To be continued in the next comment...

Ze conclusion!

[identity profile] candy--chan.livejournal.com 2007-01-19 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
She also had very talented hands, he noted as her fingers moved to make quick work of his jacket and shirt, tearing the latter over his head and tossing them both haphazardly to the side, not caring where they landed. And then her fingers were toying with the waistline of his jeans and working in other areas and his knees were about to turn to jelly…

When she pushed on his chest, he didn’t have time to react; he just went straight down, winding up on his back on the wet grass. Any other time, he would have been irritated at such a position, but Kazuha seemed quite intent on ridding him of his jeans, which made it all seem a lot nicer.

It belatedly occurred to him that he could actually participate if he so chose, and choose, he did. When she bent to kiss him again, his arms slid around her, fingers sliding over wet, bare skin to tangle in her hair. For one brief moment, he stole control…until she pulled away and shook her head at him, eyes sparkling. “Ah, ah, ah…” she waved a finger at him, as though he had done something to misbehave.

Heiji was ready to retort from habit alone…and then there wasn’t time to think as she pressed him back down against the wet ground and straddled his hips and suddenly the world was a very physical place and that was just wonderful to his mind, thank you very much.

There was something deeply primal about the moment. Outside in the woods, in the grass, with the rain falling on them and touching places that rain had never touched before. It fueled something—something deep and primitive and instinctive.

Finally, Kazuha cried out his name—that delightful sound that never failed to make his toes curl and send pleasant shivers coursing up and down his spine—and collapsed on top of him in a tangle of damp limbs and trembling bodies and endless kisses.

When she was able to speak again (which took a few minutes), Kazuha giggled. “I like camping.”

“You and your ideas…”

“What? You didn’t like it?”

“…”

She chuckled and leaned back, putting one hand on either side of his head to prop herself up so she could look down at him properly. “So…do you still want to go home early?”

“…absolutely not.”

“I’m not going to sleep for the rest of the weekend, am I?”

“Hey,” he lifted his head quickly to steal a kiss, “you started it.”

THERE! YOU HAVE IT!

Telltale Stain

[identity profile] candy--chan.livejournal.com 2007-01-19 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Slightly short and slightly silly, but I hope you enjoy it!

He was staring.

And Eri was getting nervous.

It wasn’t even so much that her estranged husband was staring at her—far from it. It was more that his eyes kept drifting to a certain place. A place where his eyes should certainly not be so fixated. His scrutiny was getting a bit uncomfortable.

“What are you looking at?” she finally snapped.

He jerked back as though he’d been stung. “Well, I…you…”

“Anata—“ her tone turned warning.

Kogoro swallowed hard and turned away. “You have a stain…on your shirt.”

Eri blinked once, twice, three times a lady before looking down at herself. Sure enough, she’d somehow managed to spill coffee on herself at some point and not notice it. Even worse, the stain was at just the right spot to draw attention to…

Oh dear.

Suddenly self-conscious, she tugged at the lapels of her blazer to pull them over the offending spot. “Thank you for telling me. I didn’t know,” she said carefully. A nice, safe reply.

Kogoro grunted, but said nothing else.

Also, I love my icon.
