I will sing the song of purple summer...

Today, I gave Chong the scarf I knit for her. I got two hugs, two kisses on the cheek, two lectures on how i shouldn't be spending my money, was asked three times if i really made it myself because it was so nice...and she immediately rushed over to show the manager and then showed it to everyone in the Chinese/Italian Express/kitchen.

I think she liked it :D

I am now working a few different patterns from this book my mom has. Boy, you wanna learn how to do all the different stitches? Make one of these washcloths. I am now a master of knitting two together, the slip-slip-knit...and having to backtrack and redo rows. I'm reeeeeeeally good at that game >.>;;

I just talked to my coops for student teaching (coops = cooperating teachers--the teachers I'll be working with for this exciting foray into the real world o.o). They both seem really nice over the phone. Just hope I make a good first impression when I go to see them...but I'm meeting with Elementary Teacher at noon for lunch--she said she'll introduce me to people and show me around. Then after that I'm going to hop over to the high school and meet Secondary Teacher. Wish me luck, everyone...because next week, I START. I'm excited and nervous--which I'm sure is very normal.

Note to self: find out who the stylist Little Sister recommended is, and make an appointment. I need to get my hair done--something that looks nice and professional, but that even a hair-moron like me can manage to do...and may they teach me how to make it stay in place all day, 'cause I'm pretty sure a ponytail ain't gonna cut it for studen teaching. Also make appointment to get eyebrows done--grin and bear it, Candy-chan, even though you are a wimp and have a major aversion to all things pain.

...I think that is all for now. I might sneak downstairs like a sneaky thing to work on my knitting more--I'm addicted to my needles, I swear :D Take that in whatever context you like, even though only one is correct ♥

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Ooh, good luck student teaching!!!

I'm a hair-moron, too, so I definitely understand. I just can't get my hair to stay in a respectable bun; hell I don't even know how to get it into a bun. Sad to say, I do the ponytail thing all the time. :(

Paralegals work crazy hours though, so we get a lot of leeway as far as hair, the time we get in in the mornings... :D

Thanks! :D

I have to have my hair back for work anyway (food service, yay!), and it's pretty hard to eff up a ponytail, so that's usually how my hair is. It's easy and it keeps it out of my face. That's good enough for me! ^__^;;

Hopefully, however I get it styled will keep it long enough for me to pull it back when I'm "off-duty," as it were...but if not, oh well. I will survive :3

Yay for starting! It'll be fine ^^. Geez, you're practically out in the real world and I'm still wondering when I'm going to graduate... -_-;

Hmm... This means we need to have our Avatar/Anime/Video Gaming/Whatever Party ASAP! XD ...I'm free this weekend! And tomorrow after three. And Friday after noon until Monday at 10. Unless I go to church.

[identity profile] candy--chan.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
You can duuuuuu eeeeeeeeet!! :D You'll make it, sooner or later.

Ummm...I work tomorrow, two to close. And then on Friday I'm going to meet with my coops. And Saturday I work two to close. And at some point on Friday or Saturday mornings I hafta get my hair and eyebrows done...we might just have to pick a weekend sometime next month and do it as a Saturday/Sunday endeavor? We should probably chose the dates in advance so Rachie can get off work *nods sagely*

WE'LL MAKE IT! DON'T WORRY!!

[identity profile] kaitodoushi.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
@_@ It's so long!!! I want Avatar now at least XD *is a dork*

Yeah, we'll probably have to do that... I'll have to check my choir performance schedule and whatnot and make sure I don't have a weekend thing in February. I might toward the end.

Speaking of work, I still need to find a job. One that won't mind that I have to take off work for said performances. Ack! @_@

[identity profile] candy--chan.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I keep starting to watch my new Avatar DVD, and then getting sidetracked. So I haven't gotten to watch it yet either ;o;

I'll hopefully know more about my schedule come Friday, but I don't imagine I'll have much going on over the weekends in February, since I'm doing elementary :3 I think that would be our best bet.

...you could apply at Hy-Vee? I know they're looking for people to work in Chinese/Italian. I'm not doing regular hours anymore, Jason left, and Dana quit--never did meet her. But yeah, they're really short people ^_^ Except you might have to be around onions, and I know you're allergic... ;o;

[identity profile] kaitodoushi.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I would doubt weekend work, too, even though I know nothing about student teaching ^^;. Plus, it's music. Not like they have homework you have to grade.

Hm, I could look into HyVee, but I really don't want to work in food preparation and stuff. I don't know why, I just don't. And I may have a problem with the onions if they stink bad enough XP.

[identity profile] candy--chan.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
You'd be amazed at how much is allegedly changing in music. At least, that's what PK says. But my own experiences in the classroom have left me kinda thinking that might not necessarily be the case. Guess I'll find out ^^;;

Uh, sweetie? I don't like working in food service. But it's a job. *shrug* Sometimes it's just what you've gotta do to get by. Besides, it's not like it's a career or anything--just getting some extra money together :D

*smacks viens in arm*
What? I can stop it any time I want. I just want to knit. I don't need to. I want to.

Suggestion w/ the eyebrows thing (goodness, i need mine done too)... if you're worried about pain, take a couple Advil or your analgesic of choice about 45 min-hour before you go in... I read that in a magazine somewhere. I also read that most people have a higher pain tolerance in the mornings, so you might want to keep that in mind.

*is secretly ashamed that she reads beauty magazines without implementing their advice*
