candyland: (evil)
Sorry to everyone I left hanging online last night. My oh-so-lovely computer decided that it didn't like the oh-so-lovely campus network and wasn't going to connect anymore. Ergo, I had internet connection, but no email and no messengers ;_; Yeah. Frustration overload. Had a good, long cry. Thanks, Kelly *huggles*

But we're working now. It is good. Luvs to all!

Jazz Show tonight and tomorrow, whee!

What that basically means is everyone in the Vistas Chamber Choir learns jazz or Broadway-esque songs and dance routines to go with them. We perform those as a group, and then a lot of people work up solos or duets or small groups to perform as well. This year's group numbers are:

- Dancing Through Life (from Wicked)
- Gone (an awesome a cappella piece)
- Angel Eyes (the Rat Pack--a standard)
- I'll Be Seeing You (*hearts on this song*)
- It Don't Mean a Thing (classic swing-jazz number)

I'm doing a solo this year, too. It's really my last jazz show, because next year I'll be student teaching second semester. This song makes me think about my parents--I cried the first time I heard it, and begged for the music to sing it. I can't find the mp3 anywhere--if someone has it, I'd love them forever. But here are the lyrics...

If I Sing )

It makes me think of my parents *huggles Mommy and Daddy* Hopefully, it will be a good show ^_^

This is dedicated to my dear friend Cassie, aka [livejournal.com profile] writergurl. This is the story about Jim Bob the Smart Sorceror the character I wound up naming Kamar. Just because I can.

This was a Creative Writing assignment--I've got a few more that I might toss up here at some point, too. Our task was to pick a fairy tale, and play with it. We could rewrite it, we could tackle a certain aspect of it, we could do pretty much whatever wanted with it. Here's my piece of work...
