Yesterday, I got tied up by the boobs during a session on counselling.

This morning, we got to play with fire extinguishers and drugs. I read an article in High Times magazine. And it was particularly amusing when Leisha faceplanted herself into the large baggie of marijuana to smell it. Twice. Then, appropriately enough, we all went and had lunch. Turkey tacos--very tasty.

This afternoon, during a diversity exercise, Tasha referred to RA-ing as "being a glorified baby-sitter." When I said this to the entire group, there was a call for tar and feathers--I don't think they were serious.

This afternoon (again), Tyler and I decided that we were going to live in sin because Deb wouldn't marry us, and he would be my sugar-daddy. This would also explain why he came down to the scenario role-playing session wearing my baby-blue bathrobe, having taken it from my closet during his scenario and put it on to "better fit into character." I think he just wanted to wear my clothes.

This evening, we officially initiated the newbie RAs with "Behind Closed Doors," the aforementioned role-playing scenario. I got to pretend to be a passed-out drunk...which wound up with my mouth making direct contact with the bathroom floor (in other words, I kissed the tiles--they were very cold). Then Stu's hair went up my nose. I sneezed. Which was not in character. Oh well.

And tonight, Miriam and Jo and I were coming back from a Wal-Mart/Hy-Vee/Dairy Queen run with Matt when a truck stopped beside us (I think there were at least seven people crammed into it), and asked if we knew where the party was. We repeatedly told them no, and then they started telling us that we looked drunk. After about five seconds of this, we informed them that we were RAs and had been in training all day, we weren't drunk, and we certainly didn't know where the party was, but if they found out, please tell us so we could bust it.

...it's moments like these that I really love RA training ♥

First, I'd like to recount a little story. Everyone gather on the magic carpet and pay attention, boys and girls ^_~

One day, I was poking around on [livejournal.com profile] 30_kisses, and I'm delighted to spot that someone else is doing the challenge for a Pretear couple! So I clicky on the story, and the first thing I see is a comment about my stories and how good they are. Insert squee-ing and glompage here! Then I read the story, and it was AWESOME. Insert very happy LJ comment here. Then, a short time later, I'm on AIM and a message pops up. I can guess from the name that it's an ff-dot-netter or an LJ-er. I accept it, and she introduces herself as SoulSeeker.

And thus, a friendship began.

I haven't even known you a year yet, and I don't know you face-to-face, but there's something about you that makes me feel like I can talk to you about anything. You're so open and friendly and cheery. I talk to you, and suddenly I'm in a good mood--you make me giggle ^_^ Plus, there's something about chatting with you that makes the writing happen, and that is multiple levels of awesome ♥

You're an amazing writer--I've told you that before, but I'm going to say it again. You're so creative! We're both doing the challenge for [livejournal.com profile] 30_nights, which is also much awesome, and here's to finishing at the same time *raises glass* But the way you interpret the themes and create these beautiful, heartfelt stories...it's just amazing. Your stories are incredible and well-written, and believe it or not, I sometimes envy you for it.

Even when I start babbling about the most random stuff (which happens frequently), you listen. You're a really good listener, you have good advice and ideas, and I value your thoughts more than you know. I know you have a serious side--I saw that a lot when the story about Elle broke. You don't know how much I worried about you when that was happening--thank you for letting me be there for you.

Whether it's the random comments about fishbowls, or having entire conversations that consist of song lyrics (one line at a time), things are always so random and fun when I chat with you. I hope that we'll continue to be friends for a long, long time. Love ya, hon!

Title: Party Time
Author: Candyland
Fandom: Detective Conan
Friends: Kudo Shinichi/Edogawa Conan and Hattori Heiji
Theme: #11—a night in
Rating: PG-13 (for talk only)
Disclaimer: I do not own Detective Conan—all the characters belong to Gosho Aoyama. I just kidnapped them and hid them in my closet to keep them safe from…I dunno, something awful, I’m sure. Don’t worry, I feed them. Sometimes.
Summary: The girls were going to a party where no boys were allowed.
