First things first, the prerequisite OH, EL-JAY thing. I think the flagging thing itself is a good idea--not that I really have anything too flag-worthy on here. At least I don't think I do. But I'm really sort of miffed at the idea that other people can tell me what I should and shouldn't have on my own journal. THAT pisses me off.

*hops off soapbox*

Choir is done for the day--we have a new seating arrangement. Instead of being in rows, we're now in a biiiiiiig circle. I like it much better for a couple of reasons. First off, they can all hear the different parts a lot better. Number two, I can see EVERYONE. It's rather glorious, ya know? And we had a good time in choir. Did that name meme (you know, where your first pet's name + your street name = your movie star name or whatever?), which was a lot of fun. All in all, a good class today ^______^

And I've got middle school choir today. We shall see how that goes ^^

So I'm going to try and get some stuff done. How much I'll get done remains to be seen, but we shall see what happens. Yay!

AWESOME day today for various reasons--my middle schoolers successfully sang in FRENCH!! VICTORY!! \o/

I also got a letter from my private loan company--since I'm doing automatic payments, I get an interest rate cut. We're talking, like, a fraction of a percent. It's not a lot...but that will make a difference over the long run. I got a .25% interest rate deduction from my federal loan company for doing automatic payments, and it knocked my payments down by thirty bucks. And with that company I think I get another fairly substantial interest rate cut if I make either thirty-six or forty-eight payments on time.

[/boring money talk that still made me happy]

Tonight people have been sending me music! My sister sent me this amazing recording of a string quartet playing Evanescence's "My Immortal." I might have to take that in for my middle schoolers to prove that, "Wow! Classical-style music CAN be fun and interesting." Along with that Ten Tenors DVD...that opera medley is hilarious :D And then [livejournal.com profile] aishuu and [livejournal.com profile] ickaimp are spoiling me with funny music!

...seriously, I'm going to be singing "Dead Again" for weeks. And I'm a total nerd because I got a TON of those video game references. Except I'm trying to find the Legend of Zelda reference. There has GOT to be a Zelda reference... *is playing Phantom Hourglass and thus has LoZ on the brain*

ETA: Random thought--could each individual Legend of Zelda game count as a fandom on [livejournal.com profile] 100fandomhell? Different timelines and all-- *shot*
