FINISHED!!

candylandYesterday, I finished Supervised Participation!! YAY!! Eighty-five hours spent in a classroom, three papers, four evaluation forms, a couple of checklists, several tanks full of gas, a couple of rather large group meetings, one car accident, an exit interview, a questionnaire, and two and a half weeks worth of six AM wake-up calls, and I have finished my interim class.
I was kind of sad, though. When I told one of the classes that it was my last day, everyone said "Aww..." and one little girl looked absolutely crushed and said, "But I like you!" No one told me these kids would love me!! I got a ton of hugs and a lot of high fives from the kids yesterday. Made me feel pretty good. And my co-op was very encouraging, so I think I made out okay. Left a message for the kids on the board before I went, thanking them. I did have a blast, and I'm now quite sure that I want to be a teacher.
I know one of my friends had such a bad experience that he's not sure if he wants to teach anymore or not, and another one still wants to do it, but his experience was not exactly the best. But it's over, everything's in. I am happy happy happy! I get to go home today! Haven't packed anything, but oh well.
I love having friends who are also RAs. It's been an interesting month on the RA front--especially in the all-male dorm. One night, some guys decided it would be really fun to rip all the smoke detectors out of the ceiling. Two thousand some odd bucks worth of damage. That wasn't all. But the point is that we've been having fun times here on campus ^^;;
Well, I'm going to have lunch, and then head back to the dorm in search of packing and going home. I'll be back on Tuesday. Will have access to LJ and ff.net, but not to my campus email. So if anyone emails me, I'll get back to you then. Will respond to things as I see them otherwise.
