Are they fucking serious? (sorry for the language candy-chan!) I completely disagree with the decision. But what gets me most is that there are no exceptions made for RAPE or INCEST!! So a woman raped by some psycho doesn't have the option to avoid prolonging the trauma by opting for an abortion. And for the young teenage girls whose fathers, uncles, brothers, cousins have abused them...there is no recourse? What the hell is that state on?
Luckily, I live in California and, other than New York, probably the least likely state to pass such an atrocity. But the fact that a lot of these states, with backwards ideals and dictatorial executions of said beliefs, could band together makes me sick.
While I personally would probably never get an abortion, under regular circumstances (that is having sex with my partner...not rape or incest), that does not mean that I would object on another woman's decision. I have no idea what her situation is and if I as another woman cannot comprehend how difficult such a decision would be there is no way some rich WASP is going to.
