Girl's night out!
Jan. 13th, 2007 02:06 amWhoa...I wasn't online tonight o.O Can you believe it?
Actually, I should be asleep, but I'm waiting for the washer to finish my work clothes so I can put them in the dryer and THEN go to sleep. So y'all get a quick LJ post :D
Around five-thirty, I got a call from Rachie...who was in tears. Her boyfriend had just broken plans with her AGAIN, and she wanted some company. So what do we do? We make it a party! We grabbed
msbbt (aka Kat) and we headed out to dinner at Coyote Canyon with the intent of enjoying the buffet, cheering Rachie up, and having ourselves some fun!
Three hours later (around nine), we left the restaurant, having giggled our way through far more food than any three girls our age should be able to eat. Ah, bliss.
Near the end of our meal, we had a brilliant idea: Kat hadn't seen Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest yet, so we swung by her house to pick up her laptop, swung by my house to grab MY laptop and the movie, and crashed at Rachie's to watch it. By the time we actually started the movie, it was going on ten-thirty. The movie itself is well over two hours long ~.~;; It was around one AM when we finished.
Rachie and I were literally biting things to keep from screaming as the end drew near because we were waiting for Kat's reaction. When the first surprise happened (aka the finale of Jack vs. Kraken), we told her that that was what we hadn't wanted to tell her, and that the rest of the movie was just to set up for PotC III.
Her reaction to the last ten seconds? Effin' priceless. Rachie and I cheered :D
Then we goofed off for another forty-five minutes before saying goodnight. Part of our goofing off was making a ticker to count down to Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End to put on my LJ. Yes, we are nerds 8D I took Kat home, and now I'm waiting on the dumb washer.
But I feel the evening was a smashing success! We had a great time, as the three of us usually do hanging out, and by the time we left Rachel was in a much better mood, so mission accomplished there! And we had fun watching the movie and giggling and just relaxing. Rock on ^__^
It is now twenty after two AM. I work 11 to 5 tomorrow. I should be online as usual tomorrow night. See you all then! :D

Date: 2007-01-14 12:29 am (UTC)I agree that the first one was better--except for the last ten seconds, at which point I was actually screaming and cheering in the movie theatre, thank ya very much ;D But I'm thinking/hoping it'll be like Lord of the Rings. First one's good (unless you're me and fall asleep...in the movie theatre), the second one's okay, and then the third one just blows you out of the water :DDDD

Date: 2007-01-14 01:00 am (UTC)The ending of the second movie is freakin' awesome. ^^ And agreed, so far it has been a LOTR pattern. I remember being disappointed with The Two Towers when I first saw it, though I warmed up to it later. But it's still the one I like least. ^^;
