1) It seems to be one of the most popular pairings in what little of the fandom I've seen, but I really don't care for Riku/Sora.

2) The game itself does have a certain button-masher quality to it--i.e. all you need are opposable thumbs as opposed to possessing a great deal of skill.

3) I would have rather played Roxas straight through KH2 instead of getting Sora back. My friends and I cried when we had to go back to playing Sora because we liked Roxas so much.

1) I initially did not care too much for Kaito when I started reading the manga. I thought he was mean to Aoko.

2) I'm not terribly sure if the general "fanon" characterization is right. But this is really debatable, given how little canon there actually is to work from.

I don't really like Riku/Sora either, or Axel/Roxas. XD; They're both so overdone. For once, I'd like to see friendships be friendships! ^^; **has such a hard time finding friendship fics in general.**

1. As we near episode five hundred and manga volume sixty, I find myself somewhat disappointed at the total lack of character development. For example, I like to write Conan/Shinichi like he's really changed for his ordeal, but sometimes the canon doesn't seem to support it. The only development he's shown is a heightened awareness of his feelings for Ran...which he has consistently failed to share with her when given any sort of opportunity.

2. While I respect Gosho Aoyama for finding a formula that works and sticking with it, in some ways I do find Satou/Takagi to be the most refreshing pairing in the series because *gasp* THEY WEREN'T CHILDHOOD BEST FRIENDS WHO GREW UP TO FIND TWU WUV WITH EACH OTHER. Not to say I don't ship the pairings, but the same ol' gets a little...well, ol' after a while.

3. I'm a die-hard Heiji/Kazuha shipper, and I'm sure they'll end up together. But honestly? The way Heiji acts could very well be interpreted as having zero romantic feelings towards Kazuha. It's quite possible that he does see her just as a sister.

**nods.** Honestly, even if I was into shounen-ai, I think I would still dislike both of those pairings. XD; Any overdone pairing tends to get on my nerves.

30 Friends is indeed made of awesome! I just wish the mod would do something with it. I've tried to contact him to ask if I could help out, but he won't answer LJ comments or his email. ~~But I wanna use the themes, even if I can't get in the comm. XD~~

1. I hated Sasame for a good chunk of the anime series. It infuriated me. I appreciated that he had some of the best character development in the show, and he did redeem himself...but if you love someone, you do NOT help them to destroy themselves like he did with Takako. That wasn't the way to save her, and it pissed me off.

2. A lot of people seem to like Goh. I don't get it--I thought he was fairly one-dimensional in terms of development. Maybe that's a manga thing? Because the anime barely gave him any development. And I'm rather big on character development, in case it wasn't obvious ^^;;

3. I liked Mayune. She was a bitch to Himeno, and I liked her because of it. It made her unique.

Heh. I didn't care for Sasame but I didn't hate him either. I felt sorry for him and, on occasion, angry at him.
Go is an all right character. He had more depth in the manga. For some reason, he reminds me a bit of Heiji.
Mayune is... Mayune. She makes me laugh. Curious how everyone focuses on Mawata when Mayune could be considered a bit of a tragic character, too. She focuses all her attention on making other miserable when she isn't happy with herself.

1. NOT EVERY GUY WHO WANDERS ONTO THE PAGE HAS TO BE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL WITH THOSE DAMN SPARKLIES AROUND THEM. SERIOUSLY, LET'S HAVE SOME HUMAN-LOOKING MALES!!

2. In Cardcaptor Sakura, Daidouji Tomoyo is a Mary Sue. She's rich, beautiful, talented, etc. She's wonderful and everyone seems to adore her. Ladies and gentlemen, she is a canon Mary Sue.

3. The second season of the Magic Knight Rayearth anime? I HATE IT. I completely despise it. And since it popped up in the second season of the MKR anime and was one of the sources of my complete and total disdain for what they did with the second arc of that series, I'll add that I do NOT LIKE CLEF/UMI.

Someone else agrees with my feelings on the second season of MKR! *hearts* I didn't like it. It bugs me. Umi/Ascot! Maybe I feel that way because Ascot is cute in a puppy dog sort of way.

I have nothing against shounen-ai, but some pairings tend to get beaten to death. That's actually another way in which DC/MK continues to surprise me. Kaito/Hakuba seems to be insanely popular, but doesn't get beaten to death.

That annoys the heck out of me--if they're not going to actually moderate the community, they should pass the reins off to someone else.

30_hugs is the same way. The mods barely check the community--I offered to get the memories up to speed, and never heard back. Bet I'm still on the claims list. I didn't realize that the

30_friends mod was doing that as well v_v

I liked him at first. I liked him a LOT. In fact, when I first got into the series I was a Himeno/Sasame shipper. And then...he pulled that under the guise of wanting to help Takako, and it just blew me away. He did redeem himself and regain a little bit of my like, but it still bothers me.

Okay, so it must have been a manga thing. I'm a fan of the anime, where he didn't get nearly as much depth. That's fair.

100fandomhell...maybe I should write a Mayune-centric fic. I'd just need to nail the plunnie down. I want to write more for Pretear--that's why I picked Hayate/Himeno up for

THANK YOU!! Umi is my favorite of the three Knights--she's got spunk and attitude and undergoes a great character change without actually sacrificing a lot of that. But the lack of Umi/Ascot love out there makes me sad, considering that it was basically canon before Umi/Clef came along v_v

So in my ongoing MKR epics? My main pairing focus is actually Fuu/Ferio (which I do love), but Umi goes with Ascot, and I've only had one complaint about it *smirk*

I think that there is always a new way to interpret a pairing, even within canon. I actually had an idea for a way for Kaito and Aoko to have their first kiss that (I think and hope) has never been done before. And I'm going to write it and enjoy it. Interpretations of any pairing are only limited by the imaginations of the people writing said pairing.

I would go ahead and do it. If the mods are going to ignore the community, then they really have no room to complain if people do it. My 40 Dates for Y/Y? That's a dead comm in terms of the mods, so I just snagged the theme list and wrote the fics. I should post it on the community...just to see if anyone notices :D
