candyland | I LIVE!! :D (Reply)

I was going to make this post last night, but around eleven or so my eyelids got really, really heavy. And lo, the Candy felt the need to sleep. And lo, she did, and there was much rejoicing.

The concert last night went pretty darn well for a first one! I'm really proud of my kids--one girl in particular. She did a solo, and she was very, very nervous about it, but she did a really great job! :D There were a couple of bobbles here and there, but overall? I am pleased \o/

After the concert, I went home and called my mom. My student loan consolidation thing is now signed. YAY! And then I had dinner...at nine PM. Hmm...frozen pizza...and then I alternatingly played mah new GameCube game (Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, which is surprisingly fun) and poking around online (which is also fun). And then I slept :D

We've had staff development for most of the day today--went to lunch at Pizza Ranch with a bunch of the other teachers. That was fun! They're a great group of people, and I'm glad I went along instead of sitting at my desk and working...which was my original plan XD Just got out of our last meeting for the day, and now...GRADES! Yes, dear friends, I have survived a fourth of my first year of teaching. My plan for the rest of the afternoon is as follows:

- Finishing checking Animal Farm tests for the English teacher I work with (She was really swamped and asked me to help. I just have to check the multiple choice/true-false/matching questions. I'm about half done with them already.)
- Plug in the points for everyone who was at the concert last night (Those who weren't there are writing me a paper, so they have an Incomplete until it's done. The rest of them have full points for being there.)
- ~~Get the rubrics from the singing test figured and punched in. (Doing it last because it'll probably take the longest.) And then I just click around to submit them, and voila! I'm done!~~

So I might be here a little later than usual today. If you'd like to converse with me on here while I'm working, I'd welcome that. Keeps me cheerful and sane :D I might go grab a couple of CDs from my car and listen to some music while I work--that's always fun!

After I leave...I think I'm going to run to the Wal-Mart in Oskie and pick up a couple of things, and then I'll head home. Tomorrow's going to be a long day, but I'll post more about that later tonight. Along with a fic ^_~

So yes--BOTHER ME! *holds arms out to all of you*

ETA: I AM DONE! Grades are all submitted and pretty :D So I think I'm going to take off now. Gonna run to Oskie and pick up a few things, and then head home. I'll have another post later tonight about what's going on tomorrow, and you can also expect a new fic. Got a couple of them written--I just have to type them up and make with the posting. So I'll see y'all when I get home! o/
