A post and a fic. In that order.

So first--the post!

I will be gone for most of the day tomorrow. Why, you might ask? Well, I'll tell you. Tomorrow I'm taking a couple of my students to audition for the Iowa All-State choir.

I'm going to be up at probably twenty after five in the morning to flat-iron my hair in record time and be on the road by a quarter to six AT THE LATEST. According to MapQuest, it's a fifty-five minute drive...but I have to stop at the ATM on the way there because I stupidly forgot to do it today XD Why so early? Gotta be there by seven. That's when the cuts are announced.

My girls audition at 8:35 in the morning. And then...we sit and wait. The call-back list goes up around 1:30 in the afternoon. Which means a few hours of sitting. And waiting. And more waiting. I'm bringing two things: a notebook for ficcing...and my knitting. And before anyone asks, our director used to sit and color with us when I was in high school. There's really not a lot for the directors to do either after their students are done auditioning XD Oh, and I'm also taking my mp3 player. Simple pleasures, ne?

I will also have my cell phone with me. If anyone would like to ping me via text, BY ALL MEANS FEEL FREE TO DO SO! It would make me a happy Candy-chan, oh yes it would :D
