Okay, fun stuff first--new on candyfics: Star-Crossed, and Then Some (my 1sentence set on Shinichi and Ran). I will probably be catching up on comments (both here and on the fic-journal) when I get back to my apartment on the first--chances are that'll be the first time I really have time to do so.

And now, the sadness...

RIP, Kaito the Beta-Fishie




He died in his Tupperware Travel Container sometime during the night. His last words were reportedly "*bubble*" The ceremony will be held in the bathroom as soon as I post this entry. If anyone has a kind word to say about our dear red-finned one, you may do so here.

In case you couldn't tell, I'm not too broken up about it. I've had him for a year and a half, and I've known people who've gotten betas and had them die a week or two later. So for him to make it this long is pretty good. Besides, it would happen sooner or later.

Kaito was the only fish would could bear the name of such a legend with honor. Lesser beta fishies will forever bow before Kaito's greatness.

I once had a goldfish I won at a carnival that lasted as long. (Just as unusual, if not more, right?) At one point, I named her Setsuna. Yep, after Sailor Pluto, a.k.a. Puu, because she was just that old. ^^*
