It started snowing like mad. I went off the road. If I'd slid another couple of feet, I would have probably gone nose-first into a mini-ravine. At which point I would have been COMPLETELY screwed. I called 911 and got a ride home.

Just called a towing service--it might be a couple of hours (given this kind of weather, sounds like I'm not the only one who had a problem), but they took my name and number and will be giving me a call. Best part? When I said that the idea of driving on those roads right now scared the crap out of me (which it does--I was completely honest about it), he said they could tow my car to me.

This is going to cost me an arm and a leg. But I won't have to drive.

Now I'm just waiting for this call, hoping that my car's okay, and trying not to cry again. Talked to my dad--it sounds like our insurance covers this. So...yeah. I just get to hang out and wait now, I guess, and hope for the best.

And yes, I'm just fine. Not a scratch. Just...really shaken. And have had a really good cry.

...might call into work tomorrow. I just want to curl up in bed and not move for the rest of the weekend.

Aw man... Well you're safe and sound and so's your car. So it'll be ok. With a good dinner and a good bit of sleep you should have no problem conquering your music classes tomorrow~!

I know what you are going through. I have gone in the ditch more then I would like to count, few of them are not counted under law or parents....shhhh...and recently took a couple 360's on a two lane highway and was able to miss several cars....*hugs* you will drive like an old lady for a while, but it will pass and all is well...breath, drink something warm and sweet, and remember there are people who are there to help, talke and even lend a hug.

Oi sorry to hear about the slip and slide dear. Its not easy im sure, make sure sand bags are in the back. Im glad you didnt go into a ravine though! Thats why I REFUSE to drive home for christmas. The interstate actually has gates with signs saying "TURN BACK BETWEEN THESE MONTHS!". Doom!

From a certain point of view, I guess. One of my classmates is from Finland and she was saying how weird it was for her to be home for Christmas and get zilch snow. Apparently some did fall as soon as she left the country to return to Scotland though. Figures. XD

Hot Drinks solve many problems. Or at least help them get solved. ♥

And yes, we need to find some decent time to poke each other again. XD
