Well, my plans for today kinda got shot in the foot when I realized I had almost no laundry quarters left. BLAH. So I had to run that errand. So I accomplished two loads of laundry and getting the floor of my office and my living room picked up before I gave up for today. Oh, and the fics. And now I'm knitting.
I'm tired, and I don't quite know why. It's a quarter after nine >_>;;
Last night we had parent-teacher conferences. I had a handful of parents in four hours. In other words...sat and scribbled things in my notebook and practiced piano. I realized that I'm getting better at piano--when I sat down to try and play through True Light from DNAngel, I could actually play almost the entire first page before I hit any real snags. That's as opposed to last summer, when I was having to stop almost every measure to find the chords. I'M IMPROVING!
I had to humble myself before my sister last night as well...and ask her for an mp3 of "Breaking Free." From High School Musical. Because my middle schoolers are singing it. I do not like the show, and I'm not enjoying the song, but the kids love it. So...we'll go with it xD
And then she spoiled me by sharing this mp3 of the Rolling Stones song "Paint It Black" as played by a full symphony or chestra, with a choir coming in at the end. SO. MUCH. AWESOME!
...don't suppose anyone has an mp3 of the actual Rolling Stones version of the song that they'd be willing to share? Please? LOTS AND LOTS OF SHINY SILVER CYBER-DONUTS TO
writergurl!!
So now it's getting late, the fics are posted, and I am knitting xD
All is well with the world.

Date: 2008-02-16 04:00 am (UTC)I think the Rolling Stones did a cover of "Paint it Black." It think it was originally done by The Animals. That might be the version you are looking for.Oaky, I'm wrong about that. The Rolling Stones originally did it and it was covered by other groups. Maybe its one of those versions?(you're still doing a lot more writing than me!)
