Worship my icon. You know you want to~
Jun. 22nd, 2008 01:00 amEvery few months I go through my LJ icons and clear out the ones I rarely use to make room for some new ones. And look! It's a Manfredsaurus Rex! *SHOT* I found myself uploading quite a few Ace Attorney ones. They'll probably be appearing over the next few entries because I loves them so :3
I've been back at work at the grocery store. Looks like I'm going to have some awesome hours there, which is nice. Got called in yesterday, and then this morning I went in from eight to ten to help get the stuff from the truck and get it put away, and then I went home and came back again later to work from four to close.
The saving grace? I worked and closed with
kaitodoushi. This might be the most fun I have ever had at work because we got all our stuff done and whatnot...and we gabbed the entire time. She made a post about it too, but we both felt a little sorry for Cook because we wound up chattering away about all this fandom stuff (particularly lawyers with a tendency towards fuschia and frills~), and he's just like whut.
...which led to a very interesting exchange. We were making pizzas when Cook came over and pointed to a woman out in the store. That's sort of a fun hobby on occasion--we people-watch. And this woman was wearing a very low-cut shirt. Boob city. And I commented that I admired her confidence, and remarked that I own a cleavage shirt. I can't remember exactly what Cook said, but the following exchange happened:
ME: My boobs are not appropriate workplace discussion!
KAT: ...so anyway, back to the gay lawyers.
We close together again tomorrow night. This will be another night o' fun! Almost makes me sad that I'm going to be on mostly day shifts for the rest of the summer. Almost XD After all, day shifts = less cleaning.
After work, we decided to go out for a bit. We wound up going down to see if GameStop was open (Kat doesn't have the third Phoenix Wright game, so we thought we'd check there), but it was closed. So we went to Perkin's and had food since neither of us had really had dinner. We spent most of the night talking about movies. Then we decided to go to Wal-Mart and just test our luck on PW3.
...THEY FREAKIN' HAD IT. And while we were checking out, I had another Moment.
ME: *digging through my purse* It's time to play the Find My Keys dance!
KAT: ...play the find my keys dance?
ME: ...SHUT UP! I've had a long day!
This is true. I've been doing/saying/typing stuff like that all fookin' day. I posted a new PW fic over on The Pit, and it has spoilers for the fifth case of game three. Well, the author alert that went out read that it had spoilers for the last case of game FIVE. This is why I should not be allowed on the internet unless I have had pure caffeine injected into my system beforehand.
Regarding
summerwrite, I am past the 81,000 mark. 31,000 of that has gone into Song of the Wind. Not too bad, eh? I'm sort of wondering if I could hit 100,000 words by the end of June, but if not my world will not end. I should also be posting the eightieth story for
fanfic100 tomorrow. It will feature a character/pairing that nobody writes about. Because that's fun!
...god, I'm tired x_x Gonna go watch a bit o' Muppets with my sister, and then crash.

So just think about it.

Date: 2008-06-24 02:01 am (UTC)Speaking of cleavage and big gay lawyers...why isn't a single guy in PW2 'excited' to see E-Cups?

Date: 2008-06-24 04:05 am (UTC)Because they're all gay, (http://www.videogamerecaps.com/recaps/games.php?game=32) of course! VGR told me so! :D *snickers* Honestly, I don't know. But really, there are a couple of female characters like that, and they never seem to generate any attention for The Obvious *shrug*
