candyland | A few things to update on... (Reply)

Work continues to be...work-like. 'Nuff said on that front. Although last night when we started closing, I glanced down at my hands and realized that I had very distinct cuts on three of my fingers. I have no idea how or when I got them, although it must have been later in the evening. So I have three bandaids on my hands now XD

Today was really awesome, though--except for the fact that my internet decided that it was NOT GOING TO WORK ALL BLEEPING DAY *HAMMERSMASH OF RIGHTEOUS FURY*

But

kaitodoushi and I went out for a bit o' lunch, and then crashed in my living room with our Nintendo DS-es and had a Gay Lawyer Party *SHOT* Since Kat just got the third PW game, we decided it would be fun to play it together. And...it is. I've come to the conclusion that video games are generally more fun if you have a friend or three to play with. Because then you can just laugh about everything and make all the jokes you want and actually have someone to laugh at them XD

Besides, there are few other times when I can say, "It sounded like a vibrating doorstop" and have it make complete sense and be in total context. And I rather like that feeling :D

We got through the first case of the game, taking turns reading the dialogue aloud and laughing our asses off...well, pretty much any time Grossburg opened his mouth. Because it was usually something about his buttocks and/or his hemorrhoids. And also Phoenix. Who was so adorable when he was trying to be straight in his big pink sweater with the red heart on the front ♥

(...we're both actually rather Edgeworth-obsessed, truth be told, but Feenie was cute :3 )

While I'm on the subject, I have finally managed to stop uploading icons. For the moment. But there are lots and lots of shiny new ones in my line-up. Three guesses what fandom ^^;; *pets Hobo!Nick and his nice box*

I have been going like mad on

summerwrite. So I apologize if I'm hammering anyone's f-list, but I am posting quite a few fics as I go ^^;; Feels nice to be so productive, though! I'm actually starting to wonder if 150,000 words will be enough for the things I'm determined to finish. Or maybe I'm overestimating my ability to write...but I'm almost two-thirds of the way done. Which is much, much awesome :D

I also finally decided to go ahead and use Not Quite Family as my Detective Conan entry for

100fandomhell. Thought about it for a while, but overall I'm just really pleased with how it came out~ *holds up own horn and toots it*
