I keep remembering funny things that were said while we were painting
kaitodoushi's room. This one was actually while we were painting her nightstand out in the living room. We were watching the subbed version of Ghost Hunt because the dub wasn't bad, but once I heard John's voice I could not stop laughing so we switched to subs so I could watch in giggle-free peace.
Anyway, we were watching it in Japanese, and we realized that we were really noticing it every time they said the word "naruhodo." The reason we were noticing it a lot more is because Ryuichi Naruhodo = Phoenix Wright, and his name is a big pun. So we're kind of chuckling about this, and then I made the comment that if I ever watched Rurouni Kenshin again, I'd probably spaz every time they referred to his sword style, Hiten Mitsurugi, because in the Ace Attorney games, Reiji Mitsurugi = Miles Edgeworth.
And then it happened...
KAT: *gets a really sparkly-eyed look on her face* Mitsurugi?
*beat*
BOTH: *IN PERFECT FREAKIN' UNISON* WHERE??
And people wonder why the phrase "Stop talking in unison!" gets so much mileage around Kat and Rach and I. Because it happens ALL THE TIME. Along with references to dip, high-fiving the forest, and the occasional wish to become a ninja~ *shifty eyes* ...NOOOOOOOOON. (The ninja thing actually happened at Target that day. It was PACKED. We could barely get through the store, and we didn't even have carts or anything! As we were playing the "Don't Get Run Over" game, Kat sighed and said, "It's times like this that I wish I was a ninja.")
But really, Kat and I were working together one night, and we were doing something while the cook, two workmen, a couple of customers, and our manager were all standing there. And Kat says something, and then sings one note. Before she sings the second note of the Mission: Impossible theme song, I have picked up on what she's doing, and am singing along by said second note. I thought Manager was going to choke XD
Let's see...I sent in my stuff for the Secret Santa exchange on
professorlayton. I feel kind of bad for whoever gets my prompts because they're about as vague as vague can be *laugh*
Actually, I've been writing another fic for an anonymous meme (let's see how badly I just outed myself with that statement there XD). It's turning into kind of an epic thing, and I'm enjoying it immensely. But the thing is that I've had people saying that they know it's me because they recognize my writing style.
...is it really that recognizable? @_@
I'm just kinda baffled. I'm really wordy (which is a big help for things like NaNo, say yay for that!), and I'm pretty sure that the Punctuation Police are going to book me for comma abuse XD I just don't...get it.
And tomorrow is SPAMALOT, WHEEEEEEE! :D
kaitodoushi is pretty much unto my god (which is not a new development, really). I know I mentioned that she got her free tickets and was going to take me, and then got two free tickets from someone else that went to her parents. Well, someone else gave her two more free tickets, and she gave them to my parents. YOU ARE AMAZING DAHLING AND I LOVE YOU!
Our plan, as it stands now (so far as I know) is that we're going to go to Applebee's for dinner around five-thirty and have a nice dinner. I get off work at four, and Rach is going to ride with us, so I'm going to scoot home really fast and take a shower, and then go pick up Rach, and we're going to hang out until my parents get home. The show starts at seven-thirty. Oh, this is going to be awesome!! *bounces* Can't wait for tomorrow!
All righty, back to writing. I want to start putting together some kind ofan assault on your f-lists a post for Christmas. Got a few things in mind that I would love to get done. Just...need to do them XD And also my anonny fic, which I love so very much :D *rolls awaaaay*
