Here's my holiday XD

Before anything else, I'm going to toss out a quick Public Service Announcement: if you IM me for the first time, on any service, please to be identifying yourself @_@ I just asked someone who IM-ed me who they were, and the response was "somebody." As I am the easily freaked sort...yeah. Refusal to give a name or a handle usually prefaces a very short conversation.

Last night, as we were cleaning up after dinner, my dad demonstrated his remarkable ability to put his foot in his mouth all the way up to the knee without even realizing he had done so. Before I relate this, I must add that we sometimes put food out in the garage at this time of year because it's probably colder out there than it is in the fridge. So here's what was said.

MOM: We could put some stuff out in the garage.
DAD: ...[Bug]! Go out to the garage!
BUG: I can't go out in the garage! I'm cute! And you don't put cute things in the garage.
DAD: ...[Candy]! Go out to the garage!
ALL: ...WTF?

I love you too, Dad.

I crashed early last night after we did our traditional Christmas Eve icee run (which started several years ago as we left Mass during a blizzard). And I was awakened by my sister knocking on my door some time later. The sun wasn't up or anything, and I was way too tired for it to be properly morning yet. This was pretty much the exchange:

BUG: Get up! Let's go open presents!
ME: ...aldjf?
BUG: It's three-thirty AM!
ME: *rolls over and resumes cuddling with my pillow*

Woke up properly around eight. Attempted to wake the sister. Was unsuccessful. Plopped down at computer and bothered clover_magic for a bit before Bug finally got out of bed. We did our usual present-opening and things this morning.

I GOT A TOILET SEAT!

...no, seriously, I'm not even kidding. We're renovating our downstairs bathroom (which is my bathroom), and I have it all decorated with dolphins. So they gave me a toilet seat for Christmas. With dolphins on it. I seriously sat there and stared at it for a good five seconds while my mom laughed.

I also got a new comforter, a DS game (Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia), some anime (Ouran and Ghost Hunt, you are miiiine!), a couple of other movies, some candy, lotion and body wash, a jump drive, the traditional calendar, some picture frames, new pajamas...and a toilet seat XD
