Last night, when I went to take my contacts out, my right eye was completely red. It had been feeling sort of dry and itchy all day. So I decided that maybe it was time to go back to my roots and pull out the ol' pair of glasses for a few days. Let it be known that I really don't like wearing my glasses, especially because they don't like to stay up on my nose right.

But I got a lot of odd looks, compliments, questions ("When did you start wearing glasses?" "...fourth grade."), and one comment of, "Wow, you suddenly look really smart!" I was amused =P See, my vision is good for close distances--reading, playing my DS, typing at the computer, and the like. But my DVD rack is less than three feet from me, and I can't read the titles on the DVD boxes. That's how bad my eyes are.

I'll be wearing them at least through tomorrow, and possibly through work on Saturday as well, just to give my eye a chance to recover from whatever is bothering it. I'd like to get my contacts back in before we go see Coraline on Saturday night. We'll see how it looks when I get out of work on Saturday.

I dug my scale out of my storage unit today and put it in the downstairs bathroom. Out of curiosity, I hopped on it. And I promptly vowed to compare it to the one at work tomorrow, because according to that, I'm down eighteen pounds from where I started--which would put me down eight in the last week. I...don't think that's quite right @_@ But we'll see tomorrow when I weigh in. As long as I'm down, I'm happy!

Actually...today is day four of my 30 Day Shred, and it's the first day that I haven't made it all the way through the entire workout. I tried, I really did, but I'm so worn out that I can barely lift the weights. Even if I don't want to be doing it, I can usually get myself into the workout by about halfway through the first circuit. Not tonight. My heart just wasn't in it this time around.

This might have something to do with the fact that I got about four and a half hours of sleep last night. But yeah, I made it through the warm-up and clawed my way through the second circuit and then gave up. I'll do better tomorrow. Because it's getting me results, and I like that.

Graaaaaah...I really need to write... *kicks That Anon Fic*

Hey, my eye-sight is the same way. Except, my obsession with Doctor Who has made me want to wear rectangle glasses. I love them.
I hope it isn't too big, but that's me with my glasses. I don't wear contacts, mainly because I am basically one-eyed. My right eye is the sight source i really have. I have to get atleast 6 inches from a dvd case to read what is on the side of the case. Pretty sad, right? Well, don't feel too bad about glasses. Cause they can be really awesome! Now, if you have biig round glasses, then I suggest getting some different ones if you can.=P

I seem to have a limit of 4 to 7 inches, depending on the day :( Nearsightedness sucks. But I'm too scared to wear contacts D:

Hope your eye gets better soon.

I have an astigmatism. It doesn't matter what distance an object is for me, it will still have the same amount of blur. Incidentally, according to the eye doctor, I'm also slightly far-sighted, which I find hilarious because before I got glasses (a year ago this month), I would hold objects really close and squint in an attempt to see them better.

I guess I need to redraw my icon... it isn't wearing glasses but I guess its okay because net visit to the eye doctor, I'm going to get a perscription for contacts. That would make cosplaying so much easier to see.

My eyes are starting to bug me, so I have been taken my mom's glasses to help me read or whatever.
Yay, I know I should not be doing that and go to a eye dr to get my own. But right now I can't and the glasses are helping me a lot right now.

I started wearing glasses for the same kinda reason, close-up vision was good, but even sitting in the middle of the classroom I was having trouble reading what the teacher wrote on the board.. and it's only gotten worse with time. And I don't think I can wear contacts, anything gets to close to my eye and they start watering. Even seeing other people do tricks with their eyes (TV or RL) starts to make them water, so I just put up with the glasses.

For the exercise, remember that muscles need time to rest as well as the body. Keep up with it though :)

:O You so pretty! \o/

My glasses are old XD They're not exactly the right prescription, but I can see with them. I can read clearly up to about a foot or so if the text is fairly sizable, but not much more than that.

Contacts for the win, yay!

Contacts aren't bad once you get used to them. It took me forever to get them in at first because I couldn't get used to putting my finger to my eye like that.

If the font is big, I can read a bit farther than that, but not much.

It's good now z(^o^)b Thank god. I don't like wearing my glasses.

Ah, my sister has one too. She has glasses for it, but it doesn't affect her too much. And yay for drawing! *prods you to do it*

O_O That's really bad for you, hon. Get your eyes check ASAP and get some glasses in your prescription.

Also, you are using a Zutara icon. I must now beat you. Just an FYI.

I was in fourth grade, and I was starting to have trouble seeing the board from my desk. It should have been expected, 'cause both my parents had glasses (though Dad's were only for reading), and because I was an early reader XD Contacts are really nice once you get used to them.

Yup, I know~ I do the 30 Day Shred daily, and then I'm doing the weight machine and treadmill on alternating days :D I'll be careful. I promise!

Same family thing with the glasses, father-figure wears 'em all the time, mom.. I'm not sure what she wears them for, but I've seen her pull them out occasionally. Sis is far to proud that she's the only one in the family that doesn't need glasses -_-

Glasses are nice once you get used to them too.. sometimes I forget I'm even wearing 'em and go to rub my eyes , bad habit, I know, and run into the 'glass' heh.

Yay for early reading lol.
