Oscar Night!!

Yes, it's time, once again, for the only awards show I actually care about.

...sad part is that this year, I'm only really pulling for three: Heath Ledger, Kate Winslet (GIVE HER THE AWARD ALREADY, SHE'S FANTASTIC), and Wall·E.

Seriously, if Wall·E walks away with nothing, someone bribed the entire Academy. And I don't care if the experts are saying [insert other movie here]!! Mom and my sister swear by Slumdog Millionaire, so I'd rather like to see that one win as well, me thinkest :D

Also, I have an inexplicable love for Hugh Jackman.

I'm sure I'll have more to say later :D


Also, the water-weight is going away :D

Even the experts can't agree on whether or not it's the top contender XD It's sort of funny, but the so-called "experts" are all over the place!

I'd like to see it win at least one of the sound awards. The vocal effects alone are incredible, to say nothing of the sound effects!

There is -a little- justice. Wall·E won best animated picture. But that was almost a given. The other two movies look more like standard fare. Wall·E is like a fine meal prepared by a 4 star chef. Didn't win anything else which just seems wrong to me.

1. I watched that year! :D I was dying at his performance, and SJP looked like she either wanted to crack up or die. He deserved his Tony.

2. It won Best Animated, but I was really expecting it to win at least one of the sound awards, since almost all the character's dialogue was sound effects.

3. I was happy Slumdog Millionaire won as many as it did :D

Yeah...I was really expecting it to at least take a few others. At the very least, an award for sound, since most of the character voices were sound effects.

Kung-Fu Panda is actually a really cute movie, though it doesn't quite have the depth of Wall·E. I haven't seen Bolt, but I heard it was surprisingly good ^___^

Hugh Jackman is too sexy.

I was also rooting for Kate Winslet and I would have been really surprised if Heath Ledger hadn't won. His family accepting the award was a lovely moment. And I loved Wall-E; glad it won. :D
