Professor Layton is not amused!
Mar. 23rd, 2009 05:25 pmSo. Henry Hatsworth.
Saw it for a reasonable price and grabbed it. I can't help but think of him as a second-rate Layton. And Cole...god, his character design makes me sad in my heart. He's Luke in a different color, right down to the hat. And also not quite as adorably bratty.
But the game itself is proving to be surprisingly addictive! It's a very different style of gameplay in and of itself, and it's much more silly than Layton was. Layton actually had a knack for staying juuuuuuust on this side of plausibility, in spite of the fact that it wasn't really. This game is just ridiculous. But it's fun so far!
Am now entertaining plunnies of Hatsworth and Layton having a cup of tea and discussing stereotypically British things while Cole and Luke sit there, stare at each other, and compliment one another on excellent taste in haberdashery. This is a crossover just screaming to be written, and I think I will do it after I finish the game.
I think we're in for a storm tonight. There's a ton of bad weather around our area. The majority of it is going to miss my city (as it usually tends to), but we should be in for high-gusting winds and a thunderstorm of some degree. It's already trying to rain, as I discovered when I went outside to help Dad move the patio furniture again the wall of the house. I got a teensy bit damp for my troubles.
The breeze feels nice, though! *has bedroom window open*
...why do I have a Soul Eater plunnie already? *headdesks* Anyway, going to give the manga on that another go and see where I end up. I liked what I've already read/seen of the series. I think it might be like D.Gray-Man: I need to sit down and just plow through it.

Date: 2009-03-24 02:31 am (UTC)I meant that I need to approach it the same way *laugh* DGM required me to just plunk down and read at the speed of light to make it through, or else I'd wander away
and be distracted by shiny things.Soul Eater looks like it will require the same treatment.(no subject)
Date: 2009-03-24 02:49 am (UTC)Ooooh. Yeah.. I've barely scratched the surface of Detective Conan, only on chapter 33, but I quit because I got sort of bored by guessing the criminals. l-lol.
To be fair, I rarely read the manga of any series, unless the manga (like Otomen) catches my attention right off the bat. I'm mostly an anime person. There's just something more exciting about watching the action and hearing the voices/music.
