My brainz, they are eated...
May. 5th, 2009 12:46 pmI'm recalling what it is that I really don't like about this time of year. Oh, there are many things I do enjoy: warmer weather, spring rain, garage sales, and other things like that. Those are awesome and win. But there are things that I hate about this time of year. And the big one is the fact that spiders (and other assorted buggies, but mostly spiders) seem to enjoy crawling into the downstairs bathroom. Which is my bathroom.
I don't mind spiders so much if they're, say, on the ceiling or under the bed or somewhere that does not require me to have to get to close to them. As long as they stay there, we are cool. But when I open the curtain to hop into my bathtub to take a shower, and there's a spider (usually one as big as my thumb, for some reason) sitting on the bottom of the bathtub? Then I do not want.
...although yesterday there were three bugs in there. An extremely large spider, and two of those little millipede-like...things that curl up into a little ball if you so much as breathe anywhere near 'em. Dunno exactly what they're called, but let it be known that I hate those things.
I found a Let's Play runthrough of Commander Keen online! I used to play that game all the time back in the good ol' days of DOS! It never failed to crack us up when the mom was all, "What's this one-eyed green thing doing in your room??" *drifts away on a cloud of nostalgia*
On a semi-related note, a couple of small and obscure fandoms are trying to merrily devour my brain. I'm told it tastes good with barbeque sauce. The worst part is that I don't really have any well-formed ideas for them, per se. But as usual, we'll see where it all goes.
Work in three hours, whoo~

Date: 2009-05-06 03:24 am (UTC)I'm okay with spiders. When I was kid I had a book called Be Nice to Spiders, all about the good things that spiders do for the world. And I loved Spiderman.
Now cockroaches are another story entirely.
