My mom once told me that celebrities tend to go in threes. Prophetic.

RIP, Ed McMahon. Your voice was music, and your sense of humor was golden.

RIP, Farrah Fawcett. You were a lovely, lovely lady, a talented actress, and although my dad swears that he didn't have that swimsuit poster of you, I don't believe him. I tried to watch her documentary, and...I couldn't quite do it. It broke my heart. I'm glad your pain is gone.

RIP, Michael Jackson. I don't claim to understand your reality (nor your need to be made of plastic or do crazy things), but you gave us "Thriller," a song which still has a permanent place on my mp3 player.

I don't know. There are some people you just sort of think are going to live forever. Not necessarily out of fannish tendencies or anything, but just because they've been around so long, doing what they do, and then suddenly they're gone. Steve Irwin was one of those. So was Michael Jackson. Dolly Parton is another, actually.

...am I the only one who feels a little bit like some people have forgotten that two celebrity icons passed away yesterday, not just one? One of the girls in my pharm tech class last night was actually sort of upset that MJ passed away and overshadowed Farrah Fawcett. I'm not entirely sure if she was joking or not.

All right, time to go run errands, whoo~
