So I've been watching the Japanese playthrough of Fatal Frame IV: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse on YouTube, and I think I've figured out why Nintendo and Tecmo won't be bringing this game to English-speaking audiences. Clearly, they have an overwhelming fear of MONEY AND SUCCESS. It's really the only logical explanation.

Mom left for Illinois today for work, so it's me, the dad, and the sister. The sister will then be leaving for California for two weeks on Wednesday. I'll be dropping her off at the airport. kaitodoushi is riding with us, and then we're going to go see the butterfly garden up there, and maybe hit the mall. Things to do before then: get gas, and get some cash.

Speaking of Kat: I made my dad watch the MST of "Overdrawn at the Memory Bank" today. He got into it after a while, but not before wagging a finger at me and telling me he would get me for this *laugh* He liked the Great Gatsby joke in particular. I might see if he wants to watch more of it with me.

My current knitting project is going along very nicely. I might post pictures when it's done.

Barring some massively unforeseen events of massiveness, there should be some writings posted tomorrow. I'm sort of hoping that I'll be able to crank out the next part of "A Perfect Act" and maybe another fandom for 100fandomhell, but we'll see how it goes.

And there will be stuff. Yes. Stuff.

...okay, I think the sleep aid I popped a little while ago is catching up to me, so it's probably bedtime for me. G'night!

It's not that, nintendo is more "I don't give a damn what people want, I'll give them what -I- want to give them and they will bloody well like it" really.

I've watched the playthrough of FF4 and I have to say I personally think they COULD make a good sum from the game. By being one of the few horror games on the Wii I think people would be interested. I mean, the Wii is supposed to feel very interactive, combining that with survival horror is bound to interest people.

I've temporarily given Nintendo a free pass because they finally showed some logic in game releases. GOLDEN SUN 3, WOO HOO!

XDDD MST3K does take some time to settle into even if you are the type that will appreciate the humor. You just have to get used to the fact that the movies are going to be horrible.

...even if giving the people what they want would doubtlessly make them mounds and mounds of money? Really, I know people who were all prepped to buy a Wii solely for this Fatal Frame game. It just seems like a really bad marketing decision to me, is all~

I'm in the process of watching it, and though I am hindered by my inability to speak or read Japanian, I'm enjoying it. It's creepy, got plenty of good moments that make you jump...everything a horror game should be, really.

I know people who were willing and even planning on buying a Wii once FF4 came out so they could play it. Now Nintendo will get nothing from them. But there is an English fanmade patch in the works, so we might get to see it yet!
