candylandOh god why so insomniac, self? I didn't fall asleep until probably 1:30-ish. Didn't help that there was a ginormous fly in my room that kept buzzing at me. I wound up moving my fan over right next to my bed and flipping over so my head was at the foot of my bed. Somehow, this did the trick.
Bug and I got to talking last night about times for this morning. She wanted to swing through Barnes and Noble (which opens at ten) before we left since she's going to have close to two hours to hang out at the airport, plus a three hour flight, and she wants to do some reading. kaitodoushi and I need to stop at an ATM before we go.
So the ultimate planof ultimate destiny is that we're going to leave the house between ten and five to ten. Swing by Kat's house (which is on the way) and pick her up. Drop Bug off at Barnes and Noble. While she's there, Kat and I go do our ATM-ing (our banks are both just down the street from B&N), and then we come back and get Bug. All three of us go together to the Shell station and get gas and a beverage, and we'll be on the road by ten-thirty!
I finished watching the Fatal Frame IV playthrough last night. I liked it, though I'm sure some of what happened would have made more sense to me if I were able to read/understand Japanian, but I did have two very amusing mental images from it. The first came from a certain character's name, and the second one is just from the nature of the games themselves.
HAIBARA AI: *deadpans* You want me to put on a mask and do what?
HAIBARA YOU: ...
*the four antagonists of the Fatal Frame series are sitting around a table, discussing their rituals*
KIRIE: I was stuck in isolation for ten years, then tied down on an altar and torn apart by ropes.
SAE: My sister was supposed to strangle me, but she got lost in the woods when we tried to run away. So they hanged me and tossed my body through a hole that leads to Hell.
REIKA: I had the pain of others engraved into my skin, and then I was impaled in a Chamber of Thorns.
SAKUYA: I put on a mask and danced.
SAE: ...GTFO.
...that second one may or may not wind up becoming a fic somehow, CANON BE DAMNED!
Why do I not have a Fatal Frame icon yet? I must remedy this.
