Today was awesome <3

candylandI have had an awesome day--and I do mean AWESOME!!
Didn't think it started off as such, mostly because I had to get up early. I had my one-on-one with my RD at nine AM, and that was pretty relaxing. Then I went back to my room with the intent of grabbing my stuff and heading over to Edson to practice more before my piano lesson--this stuff has been refusing to click for me. Well, I wound up lounging about for an hour and a half and getting over there about fifteen minutes before my lesson.
So I ducked into a practice room to run through everything a couple more times...and it clicked. Everything was more or less how it was supposed to be. I was in the ZONE! And I went into my lesson, and played it almost as well (damn my nerves...)! So my piano prof was very happy with me, and then we talked about piano proficiency and my accompaniment piece and stuff. Another very pleasant half-hour.
Buzz down to lunch for an hour and a half. Spend some nice talk time with Britt andjewelsybear1017. Got three-fourths of my Religions homework done while I sat down there. Also uploaded a bit more music for various people, and then went to Visual Basic...where I managed to stay awake! Trust me, that's no small feat in that class ^^;;
Next up: choir and band. I ran the women's sectional today, and I think it went relatively well. Got through more or less everything we were supposed to. Side note--that Whitacre piece is waaaaaaay too hard for the limited amount of time we've got. Band...we're playing this really fun piece with a kick-ass euphonium part! But the cool part was that I apparently have a little solo part...and I nailed it. Well, I nailed it twice--the third time just came out as kind of a honk, and Jerry laughed at me. But I laughed at myself, 'cause it was kind of dumb.
Dinner...the food wasn't too good tonight, but I ate with fun people and had some awesome conversation ♥
Fastforward. It's after dinner, I'm trying to force myself to go over to Edson and get my practicing done--andjeva_chan signs on! YAY! So we started with the chatting, and then she says that she can't figure something out. A minute later, it's figured out. A few seconds later, I get one of those little alert things that says I've been added on MSN by ickaimp and magicbulletgirl. And was invited to a chat with the Conan Fandom Greats--Icka, tdei, Dagron, magicbulletgirl, MOrgan, Jeva...
...I hope everyone will forgive me for sounding like a total freak here, but I nearly fell off my bed ^^;; I'm pretty sure my facial expression looked just like my pet beta-fishie, Kaito *luvs fishie, but cannot pet fishie*
I'd like to reiterate that this fandom rocks =D Awesome, awesome people, all of 'em *cheers*
Practiced piano for a while--I think I'm actually making progress on "Scarlet." And I figured out my other pieces for Methods. Granted, I can't play them very well, but it's a start! We'll just hope for the best tomorrow in class. I think it'll be all right--it took me all weekend to get the two that I played on Wednesday up to any level of decency. Plus, all three of us in the class are about on the same level, so that makes it a bit easier.
Scurried back to my room around ten-thirty...after hearing a few uber-creepy sounds in Edson. Security came through and locked it up, and five minutes after they left, I swear to God that I heard the door to the upstairs practice rooms open and someone moving around on the stairs. But nobody came down, and nobody went up and even if they did, that door was locked, I'm sure of it. Yeah. I was a tad bit freaked out. But on the way back to the dorm, I randomly decided to callspirit_sage_333 and left a message on his voice mail.
Back in the dorm, I redid my LJ layout! *angels sing* Chatted with a bunch of people, wound up going down to the lounge and talking with some girls for a while (about our resident ghost, mostly *laugh*), and then Sage called me back and I talked with him for twenty minutes and it was lovely!
Oh oh oh! And I think I might know who the mystery person on that meme is!! I think I know! *squirms but is too chicken to guess*
