Once upon a time, on an LJ comm far, far away, there was a little spam-fest going on the comments. It was me, socchan, and Jeva. I was a wee bit startled to come back to LJ later and find that I'd been friended by both. And so began the lurking, because I was still too shy to comment ^^;; In the meantime, I was reading a story on ff-dot-net called "Bottom Pair of Aces." But I digress.

I'll start with the basics, the most obvious, and the thing I first knew of you, before I knew anything else: you are an amazing writer. UH-MA-ZING! Pretty sure I go squee at everything you write. Your stories are alway so complex and creative and well-thought-out and the imagery is just AWESOME and that's part of the reason that I prod so much...'cause you update and it makes me go *backflip* And then I realized that you were the one who wrote "Bottom Pair of Aces," and it made go "duh" and "joy!" in the same breath.

You really do have a way with words, and I envy that--I really do. I envy your writings. I envy the fact that you can write the way you do--as fast as you do, and as much as you do. Reading your vampire series for [livejournal.com profile] 30_deathfics? I feel horrendously inadequate as a writer. You. Are. INCREDIBLE. And that was just from reading the fics.

Then I started really reading your LJ. You're an incredibly deep, intelligent thoughtful person. Reading your posts, your thoughts and opinions and things...I'm in awe. You have so many great ideas! And now I chat with you on AIM or MSN, and listening to you fangirl always makes me smile =D You're a fun, interesting, awesome person...and it really makes me sad that you sell yourself short so much. You're an awesome person, and you should be aware of it.

And if you argue with any of this--ANY of it--I reserve the right to grab my trusty mallet and bonk you with it =D *takes your ego and pets it lovingly before handing it back*

One day, whilst poking about on ff-dot-net, I spotted a story called "Free Magic," a series of Detective Conan ficlets by an author named fd. I read them. They were awesome, so I dropped a review, and got a really sweet email in response. Fast-forward a bit--March 2nd. The first ever Lurker Day. Imagine my shock when I get a comment from a lurker (I have a lurker!!) named [livejournal.com profile] articulation, who introduces herself as the same fd from ff-dot-net. Thus began a friendship =D

Gotta go with the obvious first. Writer. You. Amazing. LOVE! *flails* I wish you would write more, because it's alway so good and so fun to read and well-written. And you're such a sweet person in reviewing and commenting, not just on fics but on everything--I love hearing from you because I know that I'm going to read it and smile =D

Then I got to chatting with you, and my intial impression--that you are a genuinely good person--was confirmed. You're sweet, you're fun to talk to...and I've never met another person who shared so many of my interests! *dance dance happy backflip* You're into anime, fanfics, music, ghosts...someone else who knows my favorite Alcatraz ghost story! That was so cool!! I was bouncing up and down on my bed, I was so happy =D

*takes deep breath and calms down* You are an awesome person. You're sweet, you're funny, you're talented (I have no doubts that you are an amazing singer, even though I haven't heard it), you've always struck me as being very genuine, and I'm really glad that I have the chance to get to know you. And maybe someday I'll make you an honorary alto ^_~ Much love to you, hon--and good luck at college ♥♥♥
