Sneaking a little break...

Taking a really quick five minute break from work--here was my checklist at the beginning of the day:

And here's where I stand on all of that lovely stuff...

The nice thing is that the folders and music can actually wait a little longer. The first day (tomorrow!!) is going to be introductions, housekeeping stuff, etc. And then because of the way the day has been arranged, I will not have them again until Friday, so I'll have an extra day to get that in order. The calender is my Big Honking Desktop Calender Thing. Again, not a priority.

So I've really almost got everything ready to go for tomorrow. The one that's killing me the most is the syllabus @_@ It's taking forever to write, and I'm going crazy trying to write it...but I'm going to take my school laptop (who has inherited the name Ari, BTW--still need a name for my desktop at home) with me to the middle school for Meet the Teacher Night and try to work on it more there. And if I need to come in tomorrow morning a little early to run copies, so be it :3

Although...I was just informed about something regarding one of the students in my class. And my nerves just went WHOOSH through the roof ~.~ I can't say what it is, but I'm really, really freaked out about it *worryworryworry*

Oh, and last night was kind of funny. Around eleven, I popped a sleeping pill. Then I was going to go take a shower, but got distracted by shiny stuff on the computer. Then I went to my room, and nearly crashed right there. But I needed a shower, so I got up and toodled into the bathroom...and nearly fell asleep with my head against the shower wall. Twice. That sleeping pill was AMAZING.

...only downside was that I crashed for about seven hours instead of the prescribed eight, so waking up was tough liek whoa. So I figure I'll pop it a little earlier tonight and get to bed early. Tomorrow is a reeeeeeeally big day >.>;;

Okay, that's enough of a ramble. Back to getting my lesson plans done and this name list typed up! *victory pose*

Okay, guys. I'm current at Meet the Teachers night...except there is, like, nobody here. And it's supposed to run for another hour and a half. AND I was an idiot and forgot to bring my jump-drive, so unless I pull a plunnie out of my hat and just start writing, I am...kind of bored.

SO FEEL FREE TO SPAM ME FOR THE NEXT HOUR AND A HALF SO THE CANDY DOES NOT FALL ASLEEP AND HAVE SOME STUDENT WALK IN TO FIND THEIR NEW TEACHER FACE-PLANTED IN THE DESK! THAT WOULD BE MUCH OF AWESOME!!

I suppose I could work on getting more of my IJ and GJ tagged and set up...or come up with a plunnie and get some writing done. Ya know. Because I obviously haven't been posting enough fics lately.

Oh, and Lurker Day is coming up, too! Did you all remember? September 2nd is the big day, yes! And blessed be, it falls on a Sunday, which means that I won't be at school, and therefore I can happily spend all day on the interwebs! HOORAY! I'm just trying to think of places where I actually lurk anymore...

But anyway, I'm planning on doing my customary Lurker Day Fic Post! I guess that's part of the reason I'm slowing down on my posts--I want to make sure I have something to post on the big day =D That, and I have a Top-Secret Project! *cackles*
