Okay, fun stuff first--new on candyfics: Star-Crossed, and Then Some (my 1sentence set on Shinichi and Ran). I will probably be catching up on comments (both here and on the fic-journal) when I get back to my apartment on the first--chances are that'll be the first time I really have time to do so.

And now, the sadness...

RIP, Kaito the Beta-Fishie




He died in his Tupperware Travel Container sometime during the night. His last words were reportedly "*bubble*" The ceremony will be held in the bathroom as soon as I post this entry. If anyone has a kind word to say about our dear red-finned one, you may do so here.

In case you couldn't tell, I'm not too broken up about it. I've had him for a year and a half, and I've known people who've gotten betas and had them die a week or two later. So for him to make it this long is pretty good. Besides, it would happen sooner or later.

The idea behind fic_off is to finish a work-in-progress fic. There are three awards to go for, all listed on that post. I'm going for two stories and two awards. Should keep me busy for the month of January! I highly encourage lots of you to sign up! Spread the word, get your friends in, see what happens ^_____^
