candylandWow...I'm back in the classroom. How weird is that! *laugh* We're back at school today--the roads weren't too bad this morning. But I still have to drive to the middle school. I think I might take the long way around--it's a better-traveled path.
I found a reeeeeeeally pretty new knitting pattern. It's a bit more ambitious than anything I've tried before in terms of difficulty, and it will use all these new stitches and techniques that I've never used before...but the internet proves invaluable in such affairs, and I found some tutorials to show me those new steps.
Still, given the complexity, I'm going to pick up some cheap Red Heart yarn to practice with. Plus, I've never tried felting before. It should be a fun experiment! \o/
Still listening to The Phantom of the Opera. It's very interesting to see how it differs from the movie and the musical--and there are a LOT of differences. I don't necessarily call one better than the other. They're very different retellings of a basic story. I'm about two-thirds of the way through it. Can't wait to see how it ends!
Next on my list will probably be The Canterville Ghost, which is very short, and then...either The Circular Staircase or The Big Bow Mystery.
