In case you hadn't heard...

Pretty much right as I got home from the grocery store tonight, my cell phone rang. It was my mother, who wanted to ask me a favor of sorts. She has a conference for work in Des Moines on Thursday.

The city where my parents live is three hours away from Des Moines.

The town where I live is ONE hour away from Des Moines.

So her proposition was that she would leave work early tomorrow and drive the four hours to where I live. We'd go out to dinner, and then she'd spend the night here and go from here to her conference on Thursday. I said a-okay and hung up...

And realized that I have some serious work to do xDD

I've already got most of my "office" cleaned up. Then I'm going to get the bedroom picked up before I go to bed tonight. Then tomorrow I just have to tidy up the kitchen and living room before she gets here. This will be a fun challenge \o/

Kind of excited to have her coming out here, though. My parents haven't gotten out here to visit me yet--this is the first time they've been in my apartment since they helped me move here. Granted, not much has really changed XDD But still!

I also picked up Enchanted on DVD while I was at the store. Haven't seen/watched it yet, but the rest of the world says it's awesome, so I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed. I was going to watch it tonight, but if Mom's coming tomorrow, maybe she'd want to watch it with me :D
