candyland | I'm a little teapot, short and stout~

We had the music awards banquet last night. It was hilarious. We had a good time watching the seniors get paid to do funny things. Best part was easily one of the guys who works at Fareway, who kept doing all these Fareway plugs. Well, when a couple of girls got up to sing, the Fareway boy ran past her and grabbed the mic out of their hands. She chased him down and got it back.

A little while later, she walked up to the mic, held a few dollar bills up in her hand, and yelled "Fareway sucks!" The guy then came back up to say that this was a false, malicious statement, followed by some joke about pirates (since the girl in question was wearing a pirate costume).

So she retaliated...by coming up to the mic and singing the Hy-Vee theme song. "Where there's a helpful smile in every aisle." Everyone went NUTS :D (BTW, Fareway and Hy-Vee are both grocery store chains. I worked at a Hy-Vee through college.)

Good times.

I didn't get as far on

summerwrite last night as I'd hoped. Got over 1300 words done, but I was aiming for a few hundred more. Am still hoping (albeit a bit unrealistically) that I might be able to crack 30K by midnight on Thursday, thus having done thirty thousand words in two weeks. I've got about 3660 words to go. Keeping my fingers crossed!

30_evil_deeds continues to fight me. Currently working on Chapter 9 of SoW, the next story for

fanfic100 (an Apartment fic!), fandom #32 for

100fandomhell (for The Legend of Zelda, of all things), and an Apollo Justice story for the contest over on

kyodoroki. We'll see how much I get done tonight XDD
