...I love this icon ?
Sep. 19th, 2008 11:48 pmI continue to suck at replying to comments. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Anyway, we went to the Amy Grant concert tonight. I'm...really not sure what I was expecting, but that was not it. She did a lot of good songs, some of which I'd forgotten that I knew XD But overall? It was sort of a disappointment. Definitely not as good as the Weird Al concert. Which rocked and rolled all over the stage, up the aisle, and around the corner.
At the end, she came back out for an encore. And there was someone in the audience who really really reeeeeeeeeally wanted her to do "Lead Me On" for the song. But the pianist didn't have the chart for that. And the rest of the audience wanted "El Shaddai." Including myself. I'm overall not a terribly religious person (as most of you know, though I have no problems with those who are ♥), but that is such a beautiful song. So she did that one :D
Then we got Icees.
Bug came home for the concert. 'Nuff said on that. She's going back tomorrow.
Work...seems that management decided to schedule a two-day special on the two-entree meals for $3.99 and not tell us. So to say it's been busy has been a bit of an understatement. Tomorrow is going to be SWAMPED. But the cook I'm working with is usually pretty good about helping, so I'll make it. From nine to four, with the first hour, hour and a half-ish devoted to getting all the truck stuff and putting it away.
But poor
kaitodoushi...you got screwed tonight, hon. Seriously--I support you wholeheartedly in either talking to Chong or the manager about what happened. You should not have to put up with that kind of bullshit. If they're not going to do their jobs, then they shouldn't be there.
And finally, I have discovered that I rather enjoy exercising. In small amounts, at least. Yesterday I did twenty minutes on the treadmill and half an hour on the weight machine (while watching a move, of course XD), and today I did a forty minute yoga video that
bishonen_girl was kind enough to loan me. It's sort of fun, really. I do it right after I come home from work, and then I take a shower and relax.
It's...seriously sort of amazing, but I already feel like I have more energy. I hope that's not in my head ^^;; But right now I'm researching weight training programs and techniques online. Want to make sure I'm doing all of this right. And yoga is fun and surprisingly demanding. And the treadmill...pfft, I stick a movie in and go :D
I think I can make a habit of this and start slimming down a bit, and maybe toning my arms some as well. Although since Sunday is my weekly gaming session with
kaitodoushi, I think we'll let that be my lazy day. Six days a week is good enough, right? Right.
...in other news, I continue to be boring and have surprisingly little fan-prattle. I'm also taking a bit of a break from the writing thing for a couple of days. I think I was pushing a little too hard on it.
All right, I think I might head to bed soon. Tomorrow is going to be ugly ~_~ G'night!
