Fun things, yay~
Sep. 30th, 2009 09:41 amThe last couple days have been a bit on the interesting side, for various reasons.
Sunday night I went for ice cream with Kat and Rach. I brought Scribblenauts along to show them. They spent probably a good hour playing with the start screen. This led us to coin a couple of very delightful phrases. First, the dinosaur ate the duck and the cake, but wouldn't eat the pig, leading Kat to utter the phrase, "Maybe the dinosaur is Jewish?" And secondly...
RACH: The ninja is riding the llama!
ME: ...you know, if you spread chocolate on that, the universe would probably implode from sheer awesome.
I know that Kat bought the game already ^_~ We went to pick up the new Kingdom Hearts yesterday, and then did lunch. A couple hours into the game, and I'm almost through the tutorial levels. Why must the tutorials be so tedious? Really, it's a Kingdom Hearts game! You just mash buttons until whatever's in front of you DIES.
At least in Psychonauts, the tutorials were designed as fun, challenging worlds *end bitching* But anyway, we can has Roxas. And the game did get my attention when the opening song was "Sanctuary," a song which has a more-or-less permanent home on my mp3 player (two different versions, no less!), right next to "Simple and Clean."
We're having fun speculating about the new character, too--half of this comes straight from the strategy guide description, by the by: a mysterious and pretty girl who has come to be the mysterious fourteenth member of Organization XIII. She has no memories of her mysterious past and, presumably because she's with the Organization, (mysterious!) powers.
...DOES THIS DESCRIPTION SOUND VAGUELY FAMILIAR TO ANYONE ELSE?
