Things are looking up
Jan. 14th, 2010 09:57 pmI spent a good chunk of my morning doing a bit o' research on healthy foodstuffs. I think I've got at least a basic plan for lunches, which I need to start packing (as opposed to buying) to get the healthiest possible outcome. I have a short shopping list *holds it up* The hardest thing is going to be my precious Mountain Dew ;___; I n-needs it...
Also spent forty-five minutes this morning playing on my Wii Fit. I love that little thing!
I mentioned that I got my pharm tech certificate in the mail the other day. Well, I think I forgot to mention that it had my score on it as well. To pass, I needed a cumulative score of at least 650 between the three areas of the test. Put it this way: my lowest score was a 718 :D WIIIIIIN!
At work tonight, it was me and my manager. And she outright told me that if I'm willing to hang in there and wait it out on the part-time slot (where I am now), there is almost definitely a full-time job in my future, as soon as one opens up. One of the other techs is nearing retirement, and...well, it could be two months or it could be a year or more, but if I wait it out, things could turn out really, really well for me.
Dad said sometimes you have to reinvent yourself. I think I'm well on the way to doing that. Getting moved over to the pharmacy could very well be one of the best things that has ever happened to me, and now it looks like it could very well turn into a full-fledged career.
I'm just really happy right now :D
