And the weather continues to surprise!

candylandFirst up: I have gotten healthycandy up to speed and played with it a bit. The number on the scale has continued on its steady downward trek. I feel very positive about that!
We went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries last night. It opened here a few weeks ago. The fries were only so-so, but that was a tasty, tasty burger, and I would gladly go back for another \o/ Maybe next time it'd be worth trying the Cajun fries, see if those are better.
Last week they were saying that we were due for a massive blizzard with a quarter-inch of ice and twenty inches of snow. We got the ice right on schedule. The snow, however, didn't start until last night. And it's still falling.kaitodoushi told me that according to the National Weather Advisory, we're officially in the midst of a blizzard.
So I'm sure you can imagine how cheerful it made me to receive a phone call from work saying that the pharmacy was closing early and I didn't have to come in. So I'm sitting in my desk chair wearing pajamas and my Snuggie (SHUT UP I KNOW IT'S JUST A BLANKET WITH SLEEVES BUT IT'S WARM), very happily NOT out in the white-out.
I am sort of bummed, though, because I did want to get to the mall today and pick up a couple of things. But oh well, nothing worth breaking my neck over. It can wait until the roads are better and visibility is an actual possibility.
My sister goes back to school tomorrow. I'm both pleased because yay, house to myself again, and worried because o hai, roads are crap. I'm sure she'll be fine, though. She just needs to drive slowly, which she says she's going to do.
And finally, I am going to updatecandyfics tonight with at least one thing if it bloody KILLS ME! ...so if you hear about me being found bleeding on the floor and there's not fic up, that's why ^_~
