Fa la la la laaaaaaaa...
Dec. 25th, 2004 10:06 pmI'm not going to babble overly much about what I've been doing today--too tired.
I spent the afternoon/early evening at my grandmother's house with family, and yea, verily, it was a fun time for all. This is actually the first Christmas in as long as I can remember that we haven't spent the day at home with just family. Usually, it's a day where we just hang out together. Arwen (my sister) and I get clean-up duty after the sacred Tearing of the Wrapping Paper (aka, raiding the 'under the tree' area) and then we get to relax. Dad gets assembly duty and then he gets to relax. Mom makes a kick-ass dinner and then she gets to relax. We watch movies, mess with our stuff...a fun time is had by all. We're pretty relaxed people. Come in, kick your shoes off, and sprawl on the couch.
Anyway, got some great clothes, a Mercedes Lackey book (Exile's Valor--I haven't read it yet!), and a digital camera (SQUEE!!!!). I also got the other two Invader Zim DVDs (how much do I love my sister?) and the world's most awesome blanket. It's one of those ones where you knot the edges. My mom made it for me. It's huge and fleecy and oh-so-soft and comfy. *snuggles with blanket* And the fabric's awesome too--it's got musical instruments on it, but they're all brightly colored and stuff. It's neat.
But anyway, I just wanted to wish everyone out there in Cyberland a Happy Holidays. Whichever you celebrate--Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, or whatever--enjoy the season. Relax. Eat too much. Don't stress. Spend time with your families, friends, and loved ones. Remember the reasons, and keep in mind those who are away from home this holiday season. Have fun!
And in case I don't get to come back on this journal before zero-five is upon us, I'll take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy New Year as well. Let's hope that the coming year brings this world some much-deserved peace. And remember--New Year's resolutions are meant to be broken *wink*
God bless,
Candycane ^_^

INNKEEPER: Can't you see the 'No Vacancy' sign?
JOSEPH: I'm sorry, but can't you see that my wife's going to have a baby any minute?
INNKEEPER: Well, that's not my fault.
JOSEPH: ...it's not my fault, either.
