Again, I wind up hurting myself in ways that should not be possible by the laws of nature. Murphy's Law is a bee-yatch, and I would like to give it the finger. I know some of you will laugh when you read this...

I managed to hurt myself...with a ruler. Yes, a ruler. Drew blood. From my face, right above my lip.

Har har har, laugh all you want. I swear to God, I'm turning into Vixie...

This happened because I picked up Steve's ruler, stuck my pen through the hole in the end of it, and started swinging it over my head like a helicopter. I knew this was gonna result in damage, I knew I would hit myself--I just didn't expect the corner of the metal ruler to catch me in the face.

Well, everyone laughs...until I move my hand away from my face and realize that there is blood on my fingers. So yeah, I drew blood from myself with a goddamned ruler. Vixie laughed all the way to the bathroom to clean me up--and for some reason, she swears it was cute?!? Ayiyiyiyi...

In other news, I got a 99/100 on my big interview paper in Structure and Philosophy, and now I'm working on the S&P project of DOOM. It's a book presentation, and my visual aid looks really dorky. But I think she'll love it, and she will probably give me points for putting effort into this. At least I'm going beyond the PowerPoint idea.

She told us we were going to do all the presentations on Monday (i.e. yesterday) and Wednesday (aka tomorrow). Weeeeeeeell, there's twenty people in the class, and we got through...oh...four presentations yesterday. I don't think we'll be making it through sixteen presentations in a fifty minute class. Rar.

And then tomorrow, my night belongs to the Ed Psych research paper rough draft of Despair, and then I'll have the Philosophy of Education paper rough draft of Death (also for S&P), and then the Theory Analysis of Mild-Discomfort-That-Feels-A-Lot-Like-Heartburn...you get the idea.

Choir tour this weekend. Three days in Chicago. Thank you, GOD!! I have behaved myself all year, and I look forward to getting nice and buzzed, and then trying to play Apples to Apples when I'm all nice and giggly. I don't drink very often, but the couple of times I've gotten a wee bit tipsy (never falling down drunk), I tend to get veeeeeeeeery happy, and I also develop a great love of EVERYBODY! My friends still laugh at my one from last year--curled up on the couch, buzzed as a bee, watching TV. A KFC commercial comes on, and I get this huge, dopey smile on my face and declare, "...I like fried chicken!"

That was when Andrew took the glass out of my hand and told me I was done--which was fine by me. I was planning on stopping after that fourth Purple Rain, anyway. We had a performance the next day, and singing with a hangover just doesn't seem very intelligent. I slept like a baby, and felt great when I woke up.

...ya know, I was just gonna type this entry about smacking myself in the head with a ruler and making myself bleed, and it completely digressed. But as I told my friend Rachel, I don't do these things on purpose. Hurting myself with a ruler, stapling my finger to a bulletin board...I don't TRY to make myself bleed! It just kinda happens!

Vixie, you're rubbing off on me, and I will get you for it *grins*

Luvs and hugs,
~ Candy-chan ^_^

LOL, well that's what you get for making the poor ruler all dizzy like that. Just think if you had spun the pen around, wow, pens are very vengeful you know...LOL.:D Anyway, sorry to hear you hurt yourself. Going to Chicago will make it all better though, so no worries. If it makes you feel any better, I did something strange like that once (ONCE?? LOL), I scared myself with my own bookbag. I'll have to tell ya that story next time I'm over there. Anyway, good luck with the presentations and things. Oh, and I would avoid stapling papers or going for rides in helicopters. SORRY, had to say it. :D Take care!

I just gotta make sure I never go hunting or skydiving, and I think I'll be a-okay. Oh yeah, and never walk into a Staples' store. I have a feeling things will jump off the wall and attack me.

Sounds like a good plan, lol. As for walking into a Staples', I'd be careful there too. Send out a scout first and make sure the items aren't hostile. :D I'm kind of a jinx when I go into stores though, mostly one's where there are breakable things on the shelves. One time I bumped some glass thing and caught it just before it hit the floor. The friend I was with said nothing more than "I can't take you ANYWHERE, can I?", to which I responded, "Depends on how much stuff you want broken." LOL. Hope you're feelin' better! :)
