As many of you lurvly people may or may not know, I had my Conducting final on Monday. Now, I worked my ass off for this test. I was singing the songs everywhere I went, my fingers are permanently curled in the baton-holding grip, and my music score for Homage: Three Tapestries looks like a freakin' coloring book (we mark important stuff in our music in colored pencil to make it easier to read while we're conducting, because you have to glance down, take in all these details, and then maintain eye contact with the band/choir/whatever kind of ensemble you are directing).

I went in. Messed up the beat patterns a couple of times, and on the third movement, when it goes really fast, it almost felt like I was having a seizure. But I made it through. Got the email from Jerry the Prof today...

I GOT A 96% ON MY CONDUCTING FINAL AND ENDED THE CLASS WITH A 94.3!! I GOT MY 'A' IN CONDUCTING!!

*ahem* Pretty stoked about, in case you couldn't tell. Also, I get to go home tomorrow. Six days 'til the wisdom teeth are gone (that's a blessing because the pressure's starting to build up in my mouth again, and it's giving me headaches), and eight days 'til I get to see the Ryann!!

Now I just gots to pass piano proficiency. Bet I choke--when it comes to piano, I always choke...

Much love,
~ Candy-chan #^^#

*singing* I am so smart! I am so smart! S-M-R-T! S-M-R-T!!

I was stoked when I got the email. I worked my ass off on that score--love the piece to death, though. It's an awesome band piece. Greatest thing was that we actually played it for the Homecoming concert my freshmen year here, so I knew the basics of the piece. Just had to dive into the nitty-gritty.

Still plugging away at piano, though...aaaaaaargh...

Oh yeah, I added you to my AIM. Been meaning to do that for a while--I got the SN from your Facebook, hope it's the right one. Much love to the sexy, sexy CAR!!

Excellent!

Aww, thank you!

I think I passed...Beth said that they'd have to hear my repertoire piece next semester, which sounds like a good sign. I got so nervous, my hands started shaking and I couldn't keep my fingers on the keys.

I added you to MSN--hope that's cool :)

But now, I am off for the ceremonial Hauling of Stuff to the Car. In case I don't get to talk to ya before then, have an awesome holiday and a Merry Christmas!!

LOL, I remember that feeling from when I was taking piano. I'm not much for piano...I'm more of a brass kinda guy, lol. I saw that you added me to MSN and that's perfect.:D I never got around to it when I was over there visiting last time...mostly because I didn't know your addy. That's a vital piece of the adding process I found out, lol. Well, you have a great holiday and Merry Christmas too...hopefully see you when Sage is home. :)
