Grussgott, everyone! Ignore the fact that I probably just butchered that spelling--and have yet to figure out how to do umlauts on my computer, never mind that they're just colons that got drunk and fell over--but anyhoo...
I'm home. I'm alive. I'm in one piece. And now I'm going to go be unconscious for a while. Like, possibly staple a sign to my bedroom door that says "Do not open until July 4th!" or some such thing. I'll start responding to things tomorrow...ish.
Guten nacht, all. *falls over ded*

Date: 2006-05-31 11:37 am (UTC)This morning? Woke up at three-thirty AM. After a minute, I went, "Ah, crap...that's ten-thirty in the morning Europe time!" Gotta get back in the right time zone =P
Re: Not sure
Date: 2006-06-04 01:37 am (UTC)I have never felt like I was in competition with you. Not once. Nor have I ever thought I was better than you. I don't know where the hell you would get that idea, and I frankly find it insulting that you would insinuate any such thing, especially in a public forum. It frustrates the hell out of me when people will tell everyone else in the world what their problem is with me--but not tell me. So now you've not only hurt my feelings by raging at me without telling me why, but I'm pissed off, too.
If you want the honest truth, I was fairly upset with you during your last semester at BV because I never saw you. And the few times we did make plans, you either broke them, or you appeared with your boy in tow. I have no problems with him at all--he's a good guy--but ya know, sometimes I just wanted to have some one-on-one girl time with one of my good friends.
Still, I'm sorry that you feel this way, and if you feel the need to terminate a three-year friendship without giving me any actual explanation or reasoning behind it, then that's your decision, and I will respect it as such. If this is the case, then good luck, and best wishes to you.

Date: 2006-05-31 04:29 am (UTC)Hee, you sound like me when I came home from Japan. I fell asleep at 3 PM and woke up at 5 AM. I had also gotten no sleep in the previous 49 hours (we were wise and were all "LAST NIGHT IN TOKYO PARTY!). So, yeah. Feel your pain. ♥

Date: 2006-05-31 11:39 am (UTC)I'm wide awake, even though I only slept about four hours. Gotta get back in the right time zone now *grumbles uncomplimentary things about eight-hour flights*

Date: 2006-05-31 11:41 am (UTC)It was a good trip, indeed--I shall post tales of the highlights eventually. Possibly with pictures, after I sort through them all 8D

Date: 2006-06-03 06:33 pm (UTC)...Amen XD (wait for my stories and you'll understand).
I found when I was 10 that the worst thing about European jet lag was when you'd fall asleep. I'd collapse around 5 PM and wake up at 4 in the morning. Fortunately the rest of my family was waking up then, too, so we could hang out together.
We need to get together that week I'm home before I go to Chicago for I'm still not sure how long. Shawn's got all my internships lined up, though, so yay!

Date: 2006-06-04 01:43 am (UTC)My mom was right about the time zones--I'd adjust fine going one way, and then dying coming back the other way. So I'm currently trying to beat myself back onto a regular sleep pattern. Last night, I crashed at about ten, and woke up at six-thirty this morning. So I'm getting my full eight hours, but I still feel tired 'cause it's not what I'm used to ~.~;;
But I'll have some good stories to post eventually, along with pics, and I have a nice list of the best things heard in Europe. Wait until you hear about Ingrid, our tour guide. But on what other trip could a line like, "Here, hold my cuckoo clock," be perfectly in context?
Can't wait to hear from you when you get back. Hope you get online--you know how bad I am about answering my cell phone *sheepish* Half the time I forget I have the damn thing...anyway, hope you're having a blast, and looking forward to a story/souvenier swap! Preferrably over a large lunch ^^ Luvs!
