I worked tonight. This is nothing major. What I didn't realize was that tonight was Buffet Night. All-you-can-eat Chinese and Italian...for $3.99. So I was making some calzones in the following pattern: set the crust out to thaw. Help a customer. Rolling pin the curst flat. Help a customer. Put sauce, cheese, and meat on it. Help a customer. Fold it and seal it. Help a customer. Repeat the entire above set for second calzone. Stick them in the oven. Help a customer. Pull them from oven. Help a customer...

What should have been a five minute job prior to them going in the oven took over half an hour. Ugh...and it wasn't just me. The Italian case hadn't been touched all freakin' morning, so we had a TON of stuff to make. It took us a while, but we eventually vanquished the empty Italian case...and then we helped a customer ^^;;

I have noticed that for every Buffet Night I've worked yet this summer, Manager always schedules the same three wage slaves workers: me, Jason, and Renee. Never the other two. Kind of interesting, really. Oh well, the three of us work well together, have a decent enough time, and manage to not kill each other over who gets the fried rice spoon first ^_^

Attention jeva_chan: I see your 30_memories challenge for Shinichi and Ran (which I hope you write more of soon *Bambi eyes*), and match you a 30_ways challenge for Shinichi and Ran. I cannot help myself, I just can't...they're just the pairing I think I'm best at writing. And I love them ♥

Also, I'm trying my hand at something a little different. I was poking around today, and found a comm called 30_memoirs. It's a theme comm, except you write the thirty entries about yourself--autobiographical, rather than fictional. I requested posting access, and I'll probably be posting those entries here as well, except they'll be under f-lock for various reasons.

Best part of it? writergurl is going to join up, too. We're in it together! *victory pose* Should be very interesting to see what comes of this and what all I can actually bring myself to write about me and post for people to read--both of us, really. I'm glad you're joining up too, hon. Love ya!

First, I've got a couple 30_deathfics I need to get out of my head (sure they're one of the bonuses...but I can't help myself :D;;;).

...damn...*looks at hand and refuses to fold* Let me think on this a bit and I'll see if I'll raise you some.

...30_memoirs might be something I'll want to try as well...because...well...it'll get some memories of mine unstuck and in story format, I guess ^____^;;;

I just want to give it a try--do some in-depth writing on myself and on real people, instead of on someone else's fictional characters. I think it would be awesome if you gave it a go, too :)
