Slightly happier post!

To quote articulation, happy posts are happy. That made me smile. I swear to God, I'm bipolar or something... But yeah, I've calmed down a bit after hanging out with the rest of the crazies.

Back from my insanely looooooong get-together with this year's RA staff. It's looking AWESOME. We immediately started joking around and making fun of each other...it was beautiful, let me tell ya. And Miriam shall henceforth be known as Gertrude or Dorcas! Mandy is our new RD. She is, in a word, awesome. She is, in several words, EXTREMELY awesome.

AND SHE GAVE US EACH A BETA FISH!!!

I have my own fishie now! He's a bright red beta, and he will live on my desk. Well, in a fishbowl on my desk, but you know what I mean. And maybe we're morbid, but we're actually having a challenge to see who can keep their fish alive the longest. Guess I'll see what happens...

Oh yeah--and I named him Kaito =D

As opposed to Heather, who was holding the fish-bowl up to her face and staring at the fish while saying, "What should I name you, fishie? What do you want to be named?" *hugs Heather*



Okay, so I went to look at my account on Campus Connect, and usually if you have a hold on there it's the first thing that pops up, before anything else. Nothing. I don't know what to think about this. Meh, I'll go talk to them tomorrow.

Assuming we can get this ironed out tomorrow at Financial Aid (I intend to be knocking on their door at eight AM sharp), then I'll be heading over to the campus computer center to get my Documents folder copied onto an external hard-drive. Then I go get my new laptop, and go back to transfer my hard-drive onto the NEW laptop.

My new laptop...who shall then officially be baptized as Ari II by the ceremonial Downloading of AIM and MSN. And then...I'm off to RA training sessions. Lots and LOTS of RA training sessions. Though really, looking at the schedule...it doesn't seem too bad. I think I should have a fair amount of free time in the evenings during which to work on bulletin boards and door decs. Read that as "online and chatting while I work," of course.

xD Big Sister Bekah got a beta fish last week, y she named it Scarlet. Scarlet has been sitting in the church's nursery for one week, y at VBS closing tonight Miss Shirley y I looked at the poor thing y said: "Bekah, if you don't clean this bowl thing you're gonna hve one dead Scarlet." Please don't kill Kaito by not cleaning the bowl.

I'm glad to hear your night's turning out a bit better than before. Y, in all seriousness, if you make another ranty post I'm gonna go Dori on you. "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."

We got a whole lesson on caring for our beta--and Mandy said she'd help us if we had any questions, so I think Kaito is safe ♥
