Coming to you live from Ari II, it's...ME!! *is shot*

Yup, typing my first LJ entry on ye Olde New Laptop! I have named her Ari II, which will probably shorten itself within a few days hours to just plain ol' Ari. I stick with what works =D For those who don't know, Ari is my laptop's name, and it stands for:

A: Abort
R: Retry
I: Influence with large hammer

I'm still getting used to the keyboard ~.~;; It's really different from my old one. But on a bright note, they have these lovely external hard-drives down at the computer center, so I just copied my entire Documents folder to one of those, and now I'm going back to copy it all onto the NEW laptop. YAY!

Oh, and the Financial Aid thing got worked out *headdesks* Ayiyiyiiiiii...I'll tell ya later.

EDIT: Okay, files are busily copying their way on the new hard-drive. All my music and word documents--fanfics included. YAY! And here's hoping that it'll all finish copying before I have to be at my first RA training session...either that, or maybe they'll let me leave it here until the transfer's finished *crosses fingers* I just want to get it all set up and stuff so I can get back to business as usual. It's very cheery, though, ya know: a whole new compy for me to screw up before the end of the year =P

Oh yeah--and AIM and MSN are merrily installing as I type =D

hehe, that's probably exactly what I would be doing too! Putting all my regular junk back on the new computer.

and woo hoo for whipping those financial aid people into shape! Luckily this is the last time you'll have to worry about it, yes?

This laptop is going to take some SERIOUS getting used to...the keyboard's all different and stuff, and we don't have any of our shortcut buttons at the top...

I totally laid the smackdown on them ^_~

I'm currently using my mom and brother's computers for interneting, and their keyboards are WAY weird for me. Especially TJ's...it's one of those funky ones that are like, curved and are supposed to be more natural-feeling to type on. But since I learned to type on the standard, rectangular keyboards, it doesn't feel the slightest BIT natural...and they're both too quiet! My keyboard is very noisy to type on, lol. Or maybe I just type in an angry, noise-making fashion.

*hisses* I hate those keyboards. My hands never sit right on them, and I can never find the keys I want >.< This keyboard makes the soft clicky sound that means it's new...and I'm glad it's relatively quiet, 'cause that'll make it easier to type on in class!

...not that I do such things, of course *innocent face*

I understand the stupidity of the FA office. They haven't been treating me to well. It looks like it's more or less done, but I'll see how it goes.
