First, a math equation:
Homecoming week + RA-dom = reduced practice time
Reduced practice time + honesty = admission to a lack of practice
Exhausted piano teacher + admission to a lack of practice = cancelled lesson
*bows* Thank you for your consideration. Onward to the rest of my tale!
Yesterday:
♥ my one-on-one with my RD was over breakfast, and was a most enjoyable half-hour!
♥ no piano lesson (see above equation)
♥ a guy was down in the Cent Room making balloon animals, people, characters...just about anything you can think of! I am now the proud owner of a balloon-violin. I'll post a picture of it soon--Little Sister got a penguin ♥
♥ band rehearsal finished half an hour early...and it's concert week (THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN!! EVER!!)
♥ the panini sandwich at dinner was fantastic
♥ I got hit in the face with pies for a dorm fundraiser...which soon descended into a whipped cream fight amongst the RAs and any residents who had the misfortune to be standing within arm's reach (I'll post pictures of that later, too)
♥ took the most AMAZING shower to get the whipped cream out of my hair. I was in such a good mood that I started singing "I Feel Pretty" while I was shampooing (for the third time). Two of my residents walked in and one of them recognized my voice and complimented me *laugh*
♥ homework took ten minutes
♥ relaxed for the rest of the night =D
Only downside? I got whipped cream up my nose. I could still smell it two hours later XP
Little Sister pied me. When I was eating dinner, she walked past my friends and I, and started chanting, "Evil plotting...evil plotting..." I whipped around, remembering what she'd gotten from the balloon-man, and replied, "Pop the penguin...pop the penguin..." The look of horror on her face defies words--it was beautiful. Like she actually thought I'd pop the balloon!penguin.
It's really been a good couple of days. It really has. I got The Little Mermaid on Wednesday night and two more pairs of shoes--some Crocs (most comfortable shoes in existence!) and these fun lace turquoise ballet flat-style shoes. They were five bucks on clearance! ...no more going to Payless with
jewelsybear1017, because whenever I do, I wind up buying something. Three pairs of shoes in the last week! *bonks Jewelsy*
Tonight, it looks like we're going to have a game and/or movie night over at Matt's suite. Me, Matt, John,
jewelsybear1017, and
ashleymouse are gonna hang out and relax. I'm very much looking forward to it--I'll probably bring Ari with me. Catch some of ya online later!! LUVS!!
