*snuggles home*
Oct. 27th, 2006 08:50 pmI AM HOME!!! *happy happy twirly backflip!* *fall tumble breaks bones OUCH!*
My parents took me to Hu-Hot for dinner...as that's where we go every year for my birthday dinner. Sooooo much yummy! My tummy is definitely very much unhungry right now. Then we ran a couple of errands, and now we're safe at home =D
Tomorrow's going to be busy, though. Getting my hair cut in the morning, and helping Mom with some stuff. At some point, I think they're going to give me presents (or so says Little Sister), but I'm not a hundred percent on that ^_^ I also need to pick up my birthday cake--every year, the grocery store where I work sends me a coupon for a free quarter-sheet cake, so that's always my birthday cake. Nothing fancy, but definitely tasty.
Oh, and just because I told my Dad I'd do this--my exact words were "This is SO going in my blog!!"
Dear LJ,
Today at the mall, I saw a person in a nice brown skirt outfit and heels. Dad pointed this person out to me. But it wasn't until this person got a little closer that I realized it was a guy in drag. A lot of people were staring.
I know this kind of stuff exists, and I say power to them! They just...don't appear around Middle-of-Nowhere, Iowa very often. I thought perhaps it was a Halloween costume, but Mommy insists the man was far too comfortable walking in those heels for it to be a first-time experience.
And the worst part? He had better legs and a nicer figure than I do.
Yours,
~ Candy-chan ^_^
PS. I seriously wanted that skirt.
I also need to go visit my grandmother tomorrow. I don't think I wrote this in here earlier, but...Grandma's not doing too good, health-wise. She was taken to the hospital a couple weeks back with what they thought was pneumonia, but turned out to be an aortic aneurysm--a weakening of a vessel wall.
She spent some time up at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and now she's staying in the nursing home where my mommy works (she does bookkeeping) to get her strength up before they go in. They're doing surgery in mid-November to try and fix the aneurysm and do a double by-pass. It's really not looking good--Grandma's eighty-two years old. And...well, not to sound morbid or pessimistic, but I have a bad feeling that if she makes it to surgery, she could very well die on the operating table.
*shakes off the gloomy* Okay, buck up! No sense in getting upset over things that haven't happened yet! Counting chickens before they hatch and all that jazz.
...I think I might go to bed early tonight. I'm just really tired. I want a shower, and then I want at least eight hours of uninterrputed sleep. That would be beautiful. So very, very beautiful...
