I live, no worries--now have a meme!
Nov. 18th, 2006 08:06 pmOn-line journals are little filters that we each see every one else's lives through, the parts others choose to share with us. That said, we all think we are close, but really we seldom know *a lot* about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.
Then post this in your LJ/GJ and find out what people don't know about you. If you want to. =)
Ask me as many questions as you want. I'll be posting more about the conference and everything later. Let's just say I got back at eight-thirty, changed and crawled into bed by nine-thirty, and was sound asleep by eleven. Woke up at ten-thirty this morning. It was BEAUTIFUL, not gonna lie.
So...yeah. Meme me. Now please. THE POWER OF EVIL COMPELS YOU!!

Date: 2006-11-19 04:19 am (UTC)So for my question (y this prob'ly because I'm freaking out about my own situation so much): what exactly are you doing after college? I know you're a music major, but you've also talked about this teaching thing. Are you planning on being a music teacher or something?

Date: 2006-11-19 05:31 am (UTC)I'm actually a music ed major. I student teach next semester, and after that...well, I'll have to get a job. I'm panicking a lot about it, really--I need to get a resume together still, and then survive interviews and such...yeah >.> But I do intend to get a job.
The conference I went to yesterday? That was actually for IMEA--Iowa Music Educators Association. Learned a LOT about interviews and such at one of the sessions. So just gotta get out there and do it! *victory pose*
*hides under bed* Mommy make the real world go awaaaay...

Date: 2006-11-19 05:37 am (UTC)Well...I'd like to have a career as a teacher, with a successful choir. Hopefully I'll have most of my student loans paid off. I'd like to be married, maybe even have kids, but that's not a necessity--the sun does not rise and set by whether or not I'm single =P
...I suppose world peace and intelligent leadership is an awfully big stretch for world dreams, huh? *laugh*
Otherwise...yeah. I want to be happy and healthy and secure, and have all the people I care about be happy and healthy and secure =)

Date: 2006-11-20 01:41 am (UTC)I'm probably a theory teacher's worst nightmare, though. I don't work in chords when I'm arranging stuff, I just go by what sounds good =P
As for togas...I have seen a few people who should not wear them. But in high school during Homecoming week, the seniors always got toga day. You waited for three years to get your turn to wear a toga to school ♥ It was fun!

Date: 2006-11-21 07:59 am (UTC)Coke or Pepsi?
Hee, sorry. That was silly. I know it's Mountain Dew.
But seriously now...if you had the option of not having to worry about money or any sort of financial security, what would you like to do with your life?
And...what's your favorite book?

Date: 2006-11-21 10:28 pm (UTC)...ya know, I've always loved to travel. I've travelled a good deal in my twenty-one years--been to Chicago, Toronto, Estes Park (in Colorado), Nashville, San Diego, and a few places in Europe. I'd love to see more of the world. My dream is to go to Japan someday ♥ And maybe go visit a few friends *pokepokepoke*
My favorite "classic" book is probably Catcher in the Rye, largely because the language actually spoke to me and I could understand it!! Regular reading-wise, I love Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar series--I picked up all three books of her Heralds of Valdemar trilogy and read them in three days--one book a day ♥♥♥
