Hope everyone had an awesome day--I certainly did!

Little Sister and I have a tradition: whichever one of us wakes up first gets the other one up. This usually works pretty well...except for the year when she decided to wake up at six AM and come shake me awake. I was not amused >.> This morning's 9 AM wake-up call was far more agreeable :)

Spent the morning opening presents with the family. It feels really good when I'm able to surprise my mother--she usually knows ninety percent of what's under that tree, and Sis and I surprised her with a few movies and the complete Anne of Green Gables book series. I saw them at Barnes and Noble, and casually asked her if she'd read them (she LOVES the movies), and she gushed about how awesome they were. So Sis and I picked them up for her. She was pleasantly surprised. And I think Daddy liked the start of his The Simpsons collection. He also liked his marshmallow gun ^^

- Clothes (*worships at the altar of Old Navy*)
- Nintendo DS and a couple of games
- Dishes, pans, and other kitchen-y things (I graduate in May--it's apartment stuff)
- Kingdom Hearts manga
- Lotion/body wash/spray
- Two pretty necklaces
- Assorted stocking-stuffer knick-knacks :D
- Candy (wouldn't be Christmas without my namesake, would it? *is shot*)

...I feel like I'm forgetting something (or a couple somethings), but I'm comfy and I don't want to get up and run all the way downstairs to look. We also greatly added onto our family movie collection *pets various DVDs*

And of course, it wouldn't be Christmas in the Candy-chan household if I didn't wind up opening one of my sister's presents by mistake. Yes, this happens EVERY YEAR. At least this year it was something small--ink cartridges for her new printer.

My grandmother and great-aunt and one of my cousins (who I'd never met, for reasons I will not go into here) came over for dinner. Mom really outdid herself with prime rib and turkey (because Little Sister doesn't like prime rib) and aaaaaall the fixin's.

I also got really far with my knitting--I'm getting good at this game ^_^ And my great-aunt, who's been knitting for a reeeeeally long time, watched me for a while before saying she wish she'd been able to pick it up as fast as I have :D *snuggles knitting...and nearly impales self on needle*

That's about it for now. I think I'm going to go knit for a while longer, and then...I dunno, I might get back on later. Or I might go to sleep. Not sure yet, but I'm awfully tired. Always an exciting day n_n

Later!
